I really really wanted to like this place. As a Khmer, it’s a rare treat to find a place that serves up Khmer cuisine. So traditionally, most really tasty Khmer dishes take a while to prepare and I get that this isn’t the place for that (think food truck) so instead of a rural country side dish a khmer grandma made, it’s more of a Phnom Penh fast food variety. Again, it’s fine but I was missing what my mother, aunt and grandma would make. The dishes, which I included for you to see, were on the dry side and my particular dish was on the salty side. The other 2 said their dishes were on the sweet spectrum and the slices of carrots were dry. Overall, the consensus was that it tastes like generic Chinese take out. Again, you don’t see many Khmer, or Cambodian restaurants in the wild and my hopes were high but I was let down. Plus the prices were on the high side…and that’s without drinks. So many white people will think Khmer food tastes like generic Chinese take out…please don’t!

We went to the Blasian Asian on Austin Avenue (the new one). Waited for the sweet and sour tilapia and it’s worth the wait! I’ve been imagining Blasian Asian in this location and now, they are here! Love the atmosphere and the people are always warm.

Love the food at Asian Blasian! It’s super tasty and they serve a good amount of food for the price. It’s definitely my favorite spot at Union Hall! From the menu, my favorites are the yellow noodles with chicken and combo #3. I like that you can choose the level of spice (1 to 5, and the fact that you earn discounts if you buy frequently there. Highly recommend the place.

They were prob the busies stall and for good reason. Got the stir fried bok choy with beef. Really enjoyed it. It was taking a little long to get after ordering but they were slammed so totally understandable (and worth the wait!) but I was on a time crunch so I asked if they knew how long cause I only had a few min before I had to leave and they were kind enough to make sure I get my order in time (was my bad not theirs!), super super nice of them considering how busy they were!

The food was AMAZING! Very polite & friendly staff. We had some leftovers we took home & I ate it the next day( I usually hate leftover takeout) but the flavors were just bursting in my mouth. So worth every penny. If we find ourselves out this side again we’ll definitely be eating here again.

I ordered the combo X, and they short-changed me on my food. I was supposed to get 2 pork and 2 beef skewers, and I received 3 beef and 1 pork. The garlic rice is great.

The food was worth every penny for sure! I give the overall experience a 8/10. I met the owner as well and he’s an upstanding guy! The only thing I’d change is the portion of food. It didn’t fill me or my co-workers up at all. Next time I’ll order a little extra maybe.

The food here was a 9/10 and i loved it. It was super delicious and it made me come back for seconds. Though personally, the orange chicken tasted different than i thought it would, it still tasted great! They also have some vegan options which i found to be very diverse since there aren’t really many vegan options around union hall. I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner or any meal!
