FANTASTIC service!! Can’t say enough about the wait staff here. Our server for dinner, Andy, killed it!! And our sever for brunch was the sweetest! Dinner food quality is way above average and delicious, but slightly over-priced in some items, imo. The real issue is the brunch buffet. After tip, even with 2 $10 vouchers, was still $60. This is way too much for an average buffet. I will say I opted for an omlette which was offered to me, and it was delicious.

Dinner was very expensive- mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant potatoes and too salty. The sautéed vegetables weren’t fresh. The steak was good and the cocktails were also. We will not eat there again.

The band playing on August 25th was unbelievably good! We actually changed our dinner plans to stay here and eat. Definitely will be back here and hopefully it’s a night that they will be playing!

Heavy moldy basement smell when you first walk in.

I came here with my husband to enjoy a fine dining joint birthday dinner. I implore you to seriously listen to this and the other two star reviews for this establishment. Spare yourself the disappointment. The food here is merely masquerading as fine dining. Waited over 40 minutes for an appetizer and past an hour for the full meal, only to be greeted with lukewarm food on a plate that was too hot to handle? I went with he special: wasabi crusted salmon that tasted like a moist sock with a wisp of a kick.. also it wasn’t crusted…but had melted brown sugar on top? The vegetables were similarly flavorless, slimy, and an overall unpleasant experience. Absolute robbery at the prices they’re charging. My husband went with the pork medallions and just laughed at how badly botched the cook time was. The meat was dessicated and tough, I tried it myself and the dryness sucked every drop of moisture out of my soul. That meat was so dry it chapped my lips. Even the potatoes were a crime against gastronomy, like the chef decided to use rancid butter in the prep.

The dairy-free Farfalle dish was tasteless, and the crab cake was almost too salty to eat. The vegetable medley was good, as was the coconut rice. The restaurant claims to make their bread in house. We were served three tiny pieces of stale Italian/French bread.

Wasn’t impressed. The menu was ambitious and under delivered. $54 for a rib eye steak that was bland and extremely dry. Feel like the smoked steak was made a day our two before and warmed to serve. Also was very thin. Onion soup was not desirable. Applebees literally has a better soup. Barely any onions and you can tell they did not caramelize the onions. Tasted like boiled dish water. Calamari was ok and the dipping sauce was good. Bacon wrapped dates should have had more bacon wrapped around it to give it more texture and saltiness. The highlight was the desert. Pecan Praline Ice Cream was very good. Creme Brulee was OK. Would have liked to see it have more of a glass type top. Overall pricing is very pretentious. I have had the luxury at eating at some very nice restaurants around this country and honestly this is one of the most disappointing. We go out to eat a couple times a week and where hoping the food would be good. The wait staff was friendly and was good at service. You may think this review my be over critical but this is supposed to be a fine dinning experience and a lot of the food was just not good.

Wife and I were here last night having dinner after Appalachian Paracon. Dinner was unsatisfying to say the least. Ended up ordering pizza via uber eats after.

This is not a place for the middle class to eat. $40 for a small steak, took almost an hour to get but at least it was hot. Take pride in the historical building and prices you bring in and make the dining room more than tan walls that need painted and pictures hanging on the walls that look like that came from a garage sale.

We had Cioppino which is a fish and seafood stew originating in San Francisco, California and Ahi Tuna steaks with sesame crust. Chef Ron came to our table and explained the origins of the WV organic sourced micro-greens and wasabi; he also explained where the seafood and fish had been caught- off the coast of Maryland and a little further south below Virginia. It was all delicious, and it was served to us by Adrienne.
