On Sunday’s we will head to New London and eat a sandwich or salad on the outdoor patio overlooking the Ferry Terminal at “Muddy Waters Cafe” on Bank Street.

Weekend Brunch vibes on the back patio are fun. There’s a DJ and the menu is trendy. I wish they had iced coffee. Also, I came wanting one of their lunch salads, but they only serve food on the brunch menu during weekend brunch. I wish they had a salad or something light and fresh on their brunch menu. I ended up choosing the parfait, which surprisingly had a lot of berries (usually places are stingy when it comes to fruit), but they only had sweetened yogurt. It would be nice if they gave you the option of plain or vanilla.

Nicole was the best. Very kind and inviting. She knew the menu and was able to recommend some good food. The steak and cheese egg roll special was captivating. Nicole was able to substitute a side Caesar for my mother as she wanted the coconut jumbo shrimp appetizer on salad. I got the burger which was amazing. The combination of select cuts paired with the applewood smoked bacon and Swiss cheese was nothing short of delightful. The balcony atmosphere was stunning. The views were great and even the passing trains added a surprise element to our experience. But it was all made perfect with Nicole’s bright personality and knowledge of the Blue Duck bar and grill.

The Blue duck is a destination location in New London… This place offers amazing drink specials, a great menu of food, and a breathtaking view of the Thames River. This place hose DJ’s on the weekend and is a hotspot for locals and people that live in the tristate area. If you are in New London and want to party this is a great place. Be respectful. expect to have a great time

My partner and I had a good first experience at The Blue Duck. We got The Garbage Fries and although a little soggy, they were delicious. The Birria Tacos were what we were really looking forward too and they were lackluster. The meat was dry and the taco itself could have used some sort of cream sauce to freshen it up. However, my lack of stars is mostly for the poor treatment of customers by management. My best friend recently visited The Blue Duck and was unable to have her meal in the restaurant because there was only 1 high chair available and the manager told her “it’s a bar, sorry”. They couldn’t have been less helpful, so please be sure to note this is NOT a family friendly establishment in New London.

New to New London. Nice deck. Great music by Casey Flax. A menu with new and different offerings on it such as smashed potatoes sort of a nacho/ baked potato thing and peanut butter and jelly wings that I loved but my wife was not fond of.

Friendly staff, excellent food with a fun menu, kid-friendly, but also just a great summer spot. Great view of the Thames from the outdoor seating. Definitely recommend the birria tacos, garbage fries and chicken wings. Photos don’t do justice though, my bad.

The Place is very nice with an ocean view, the Dj Easy lays good music and the owner was very attentive to the guest. Overall I’ll definitely come back to the Blue Duck.
