The view from the patio is nice but it could use a good cleaning. The chairs were the absolute worst though, super uncomfortable. Food and drinks were very good. We had the Blue Heron cocktail, house white wine, fried pickles, Cajun pasta and the seafood platter. The hushpuppies were not good and very dry but everything else was great.

Let me start by saying how phenomenal our server Felicia was. We were actually staying at the resort and had ate lunch and dinner here. Felicia is so sweet, informative,kind,generous,funny & a fabulous waitress. She waited on us both times on the deck. I cannot wait to go back again for the beautiful view and the phenomenal service. I highly recommend Felicia when you go in.

The atmosphere is wonderful. You can sit outside and enjoy the view of the river and boats. The drive getting there is peaceful and pretty as long as the weather is nice. The service was all that was expected and needed. The rockfish was good. The rice with it was a little undercooked. I’m usually not a fan of green beans but theirs were pretty good. The hush puppies were too dry. But the butter helped. The steamed shrimp was big but overcooked and rubbery and there was a lot of dirt and grit in them. Also I would have preferred cocktail sauce instead of the melted butter which didn’t have much flavor either. The crab cakes were nice and moist, but too salty for my taste. Because of the atmosphere, I will probably go back again sometime but will try different things. In years past had their scallops and liked them, but they don’t have them anymore. But those are difficult to cook correctly also so maybe it’s best they don’t.

We had a great experience at The Blue Heron. Everything we had was delicious! Get the calamari with the peppers! So good! The brussel sprouts are devine! The rock fish and broccoli were both cooked and seasoned to perfection! The service was wonderful, too. Tyler and Amber took very good care of us. We will be back!

On vacation and we ate here twice. First night was for my birthday. Food was so good! Loved the outdoor seating by the water. The view is amazing. They had music both nights. We played cornhole before and after dinner. Can’t say enough great things about the atmosphere. The first night we ordered from a menu. The second night we did have to scan the QR code to order. We didn’t have a problem. Don’t let that stop you from eating here!

You get one chance to make a first impression. The manager Amber was outstanding in handling our situation; I can not complain. She went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was satisfactory. The meal was excellent. I had the Crab cakes with roasted potatoes and fried brussels sprouts. Absolutely delicious!!

We went on Sunday and wanted some wings and they were out as usual. It would be great if you had cheeseburgers, reubens and pizza. The crab soup was awful. Thank you for getting some new employees. Our waitress was awesome.

The seafood platter we shared was hot and fresh. Mashed potatoes were even hot too. Especially loved the side of brussel sprouts. Everything was cooked to perfection. The laid back vibe overlooking the water was memorable. Great service. Looking forward to returning when I’m in town again!

Went for dinner tonight and had to seat ourselves. No one came to our table. After 10 minutes, my husband went to find someone. She was playing in her phone and told him it would be a minute. We got up and walked out. They are famous for not even acknowledging you when you walk in. Service has always been slow but tonight we were completely ignored. We won’t be going back. There was only 1 other table occupied. It’s not like they were busy.
