Delicious food and great atmosphere. Yummy non alcoholic cocktail option as well. The only slight negative was them trying to push dessert on us while we were still finishing our entrees.

The service was very good, staff were very attentive and kind and knowledgeable!!! I want to preface there was nothing wrong with the actual service. But it was probably the most disappointing meal we’ve had in Jackson so far unfortunately despite how costly it was. We got the trout dip as an app and it was mostly cream cheese, looked like something you could buy from Walmart. I ordered the lamb chops which were the best of the night but they weren’t really seasoned. The outer crisp was very nice but the meat itself didn’t even taste like it had been salted. We also ordered the elk and it was burnt and rare even tho we asked for medium. The beef tenderloin was also cooked very rare when we asked for medium rare and the trout was very meh. All in all it was a very mid meal and I wouldn’t come back tbh, not for the price point. Reminded me of something from Ruby Tuesday, not a $$$ restaurant.

My husband and I loved the Blue Lion. It’s in a renovated home and we got to sit by the guitarist that was very talented and provided a great vibe to the dinner. The server was very kind and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We got the crab mushrooms, shrimp scampi, huckleberry scallops, and raspberry lemon cake. SO GOOD! I’d recommend this place for a fancy night out.

The food was excellent. Very fresh and prepared well. We had the lamb chops, unbreaded, the elk slices and sesame dressing on our salads. The service was better than the food or at least as great. Our meal took a long time but 1) there were a few large parties seated before us 2) our server and the bar manager actually apologized for the delay 3) we didn’t care. We hope everyone will give the Blue Lion a chance – it is worth any wait. 😉

We went here for a fancier date night. The atmosphere is great – super cozy with live guitar playing. The staff were also all wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food however, was pretty lackluster for the price. My husband had the elk and liked it. I had the trout and it was just ok. The portions are also pretty small for the price. We did have the butternut squash soup and that was delicious. Overall, the price was a little high for the quality.

While on our trip, we ate a lot of lamb. One of the best lamb racks is the one at The Blue Lion (it was suggested by a local here in Jackson). Portion to price is very palatable. The crust on the perfectly cooked lamb rack adds a sweet note to it. It makes it sing. For a starter, we ordered duck cakes. Delish. The French onion soup was tasty and even though I’m not a salad person, even the salad was yummy. The service was great. Our server was a very down-to-earth fella. We enjoyed chatting with him.

Started off with delicious grilled Wasabi elk and the restaurant won me over with my fiance plate of the roast rack of lamb. That jalapeño mint sauce is definitely a new flavor for me. Definitely want the recipe on that.

I came by myself on a busy Saturday night and received outstanding service from Radu and the rest of the staff! I ordered both the elk and the stuffed mushroom appetizers, followed by the rack of lamb entree. Everything lived up to its name; I absolutely LOVE lamb, and this is the best that I have had so far. Definitely stop by after visiting Teton or Yellowstone!
