The service was good, the place is very cozy, and the food is really good. It has a bit of everything but I would say their specialty is seafood. They were still able to accommodate my daughter’s allergies.

(Last visited on 10/9/2021.) After a long, amazingly fun day at Lime Rock Park it was time for dinner, but we didn’t feel like making the 90 minute drive home just yet. So we did out fair share of Yelp’ing then found this place. I’m glad we did, because I had a good time, here’s why!

I used to love this place, and this is my 3rd review. The first one was great from the service to the food, but my last two including this one has been disappointing. The service is still horrible from the water and liquor service to ordering your food. We had to track down our waiter constantly, even to get our silverware. Their famous onion soup seems like it was just warmed up in the microwave (we did get the scissors). The blue point oysters were really small and not opened properly. They need to go back to when they were great and start focusing on the quality of their food and service. Right now, it is an average overpriced restaurant. It is ashamed cause it was one of my favorite restaurants.

4.3 Stars. Exceptional appetizers – whole belly fried clams (market priced at $30.) and spicy tuna sushi roll. The clams were the best I’ve ever had prepared this way – melt in your mouth tender and all a good size. The fresh tuna was superb. A1 quality. These two starters were so beyond expectations in terms of their perfection, our main dishes paled in comparison though they were very good, as well. The swordfish and cod were a little overcooked in my seafood combo, but the salmon was moist and buttery soft. The cioppino had a nice selection of shellfish but a couple of mussels were sealed shut. A colleague who lives in town told us his favorite thing here are the raw tuna nachos.

Stopped on a whim with my wife on a motorcycle ride in the N/W Connecticut. Excellent Poke Bowl with tuna and the Tommy Sushi was great. Nice atmosphere. We’ll definitely come back.

Food was amazing and me and dad were coming from NH so we were tired and wanted to eat quickly and get to were we are staying and it looked really busy in the parking lot so we thought we would be there forever but we got a seat and instantly we got service and food was as good as making it at home if we come back next year will definitely go again.

The Boathouse at Lakeville is one of the best dining institutions in its area. The specials and desserts are always varying, ensuring customers always have a new dish to try while a strong core menu of classics and more innovative items anchors the Boathouse in its culinary offering. Service is always friendly and servers go above and beyond. The only issue is a relatively high price but it is commensurate with comparable establishments in the region.

Very nice restaurant. The service was very good. The calamari were perfect – we had to order a second portion. The spicy sushi was good, but sweet, which is not typical and I wasn’t a fan. The french onion soup and the flat bread were excellent.

Just passing through town, nice place to stop for the locals and visitors. Mary was great, prompt, attentive and offered suggestions. Had a vegetarian Quasidilla and Pastrami Ruben. The home made chips were great. So good.. half the meal later… snapped the picture. Great spot for lunch or dinner from the sea or land choices. Very nice bar area. Enjoy!
