This was my first time visiting. Drove from Delaware to try this restaurant. I was not impressed. They charge TOP DOLLAR for EVERYTHING!!! I was told there was an extra charge for extra garlic butter. (Which I chose not to pay for)You have to order Al a carte. NOTHING comes with your food when you order crabs and other seafood and the portions are very small. The taste and restaurant ambiance did NOT warrant the price paid. The picture with the crab legs was literally all I got, and the price for just THAT was $87. My server was pleasant. I strongly doubt that I will be returning. There are much better seafood options closer to my home.

I was not impressed. All food ordered came at separate times. The garlic butter arrived before receiving any food. One drink option besides beer,which was a Margarita. I asked to have the fruit punch added to my drink and the answer was no. So I had to order a fruit punch and the Margarita and mix myself (see picture). Food was pretty basic. Will not be returning.

We were promptly greeted and sat near the entrance which was a bit drafty. The atmosphere was cool with some customer designed areas! Customer service was phenomenal she did a really great job! For the food I ordered a quick bite with the crab fries and raw oysters. The crab fries were good but could be better if they alternate the type of crab. However, they were tasty and for the price thought it was fitting. The cajun eggs were also good and the everything sauce was nice. The raw oysters were fresh and flavorful! I would recommend and if in the area and wanted some crab fries would pop in.

We had an EXCELLENT dinner at The Boiling Crab. I have to say, we came from another crab place that had terrible service, and the sheer quality of the service we received at The Boiling Crab made our entire night. They were attentive and quick with getting our order, and took one of the items back to correct a mistake. But even better, the food was DELICIOUS. The crabby fries and shabang shrimp were especially amazing. I liked the environment as well, it feels like a long established home for crabs on H st. Definitely a go-to!

Although the service was great and the decor was cute the seasoning was not good at all. I actually ended up throwing up when I returned to the hotel. I was so excited about going and was so disappointed. I am from Virginia and was expecting good food but unfortunately it was not here. I am sorry but until the kitchen is in order I can not recommend and will not be back. Plus you pay for everything individually nothing included as I am accustomed to in Virginia. If the seasoning was good my review would have obviously been different and restaurant fairly new so there’s still an opportunity for them to be GREAT. You can see that there was no sauce just not very tasty seasoning in the photo Despite the food we tipped Andrea really well because as I said before service was great

Our service was poor by waitress Latoya to start off, but after we asked to be served by someone else, the general manager “Johnny Tran” served us himself and that moment changed our whole perception of the dining experience there. The appetizers were served last and entrees came later which was somewhat peculiar. Nevertheless the food was never in question. The food was exquisite. Starting with the catfish, which I haven’t had in so long, but the filet, the seasoning and the crispness of the breading was to absolute perfection. (Shout out to Lee the sous chef excellent job). Can’t wait to go back there. Me being leary of seafood places in general, this is one place I and my stomach would feel comfortable returning to partake in great, fresh seafood at.

Food was great. The service could have been a little better. We had a large dine in party but they treated the table like it was a carry out. The server sat everything on the end of the table, drinks, appetizers, entrees, utensils, etc. And we had to distribute everything to the person who ordered them. Minor thing but it makes a difference.
