Big portions and good food. The owners are shipper friendly and accommodated out diary needs. They even put complimentary appetizer and dessert on our table.

I had to finally review after coming here for so many years. The food is great and tastes just like my family’s homecooked meals – curries are flavorful and never watered down but there are also some interesting fusion items on the menu that are worth a try once in a while. Friendly and attentive service and the chef is always willing to alter spice levels or make any special requests! Love having this place right here in summit without having to make the trip all the way to Edison

Inventive and better than average Indian restaurant with a surprisingly good buffet for lunch. Service can sometimes be awkward. One of their signature presentations, a stacked tiffin, would benefit from a seasonal refresh, but would recommend it at least once. (No matter what they tell you, it’s filling enough for two.) You can also make a fun meal out of appetizers, many of which are not standard restaurant fare.

We have been going to Bombay Bistro for sometime. The food is good and staff is polite. The place is clearly not suitable for kids. Also, we found the manager to be extremely rude particularly towards Indians. I recently had a bad experience with take out order. They didn’t pack the order completely because it seems they were busy. Once we reached home, we realized that the order was incomplete. We called and was connected to the manager. Instead of apologizing for the error, the manager instead refused to help and give credit back, and asked to come back. Despite telling her repeatedly that we live far and it won’t be easy to return, she refused to budge. I was surprised by the way they were talking me in the background particularly my ethnicity. I have never had such an experience in my 15 years in the U.S. If you are Indian, avoid this place.

Having been a regular customer of Bombay Bistro over the years I was excited to see they partnered with DoorDash for delivery. However, this turned out to be a disaster. After ordering on line we got a confirmation email saying the order would take about 45 minutes. After an hour waiting, we got another email saying our order had been cancelled. Upon calling the restaurant, we were told DoorDash was sending too many orders and they could not cope, but our food was almost ready to go and the delivery man was there waiting for it. No apologies, just excuses. We were told we would get our food shortly. Another hour later with no food, we called back and were told our food left an hour ago. Again no apologies and no accountability, but we were told the chef would call the delivery service and get back to us. After another 30 minutes with no delivery and no return call, we called the restaurant again, and all we were told was that the delivery service wasn’t answering the phone so there was nothing to be done

This place is yummy. Came here with my boyfriend on a Thursday for dinner and it was busy! But the service was very fast. The waitress was very nice and the food came out fast but was still delicious.

Being from India, I am impressed by the authentic Indian cuisine presented at Bombay Bistro. Most Indian restaurants slather on heavy cream, butter and salt and excessive spices and all the sauces are more or less the same. Not at Bombay Bistro, the chef brings out the inherent flavor of the meat or fish or vegetables and enhances it with subtle and specific spices. I am impressed with the food and this is closer to “home cooked food” and what you would experience in some of the finer restaurants in India.

After hearing many great things about this establishment, I thought it was time to give a try. Customer service was great.. the waitresses are kind and very attentive! Highly recommend the Tandoori Salmon and the Gobi Manchurian.

Visited on a slow Thurs. eve. Service was spotty. But worse yet my wife & I were both sick the following two days due to bad shrimp (shrimp curry dish). We contacted the Rest. through their feedback forum-but no response. Typical. Take the money & move on to the next customer.
