We weren’t sure what we were walking into, but we knew that it had great ratings for food, and this place did not disappoint. The food was so full of flavor, and potions were a nice size and the vibe was great. They had a live DJ, who played all types of hip hop music. The music was loud and it was a bit warm but I would go back in a heartbeat.

Came here a few times. Never had the food here not my type of food. But I’m leaving this review because of the cleanliness and service. There was a roach at the bar which caused us to be reseated. Once reseated we got a high chair area and I like to seat next to my date. It’s early and the place is empty so I didn’t think it would be an issue to seat on the end of the table. They kept saying they need need me to move to get behind me but there was nobody behind me to get to and I’m not a big guy and the women well most of them weren’t big either. Anywho we was moved for a third time. I’m just here at this point so I don’t get fired lol.

Love them ambience. Made reservations. Did not have to wait. Allen was our server. He was very tentative to our needs. Enjoyed the music food and hookah. Best red velvet waffles in town! Definitely would go back.

I’ve been to this establishment a few times and never had a complaint, however this time it was very disappointing. My man ordered the crab cakes which was on a bed of lettuce and the lettuce was thicker than the crab cakes and at 28.00 at that. Although he said they tasted okay, he shouldn’t have still been hungry after leaving the restaurant, he had the macaroni which was decent but it did appear slightly overcooked. I had the chili wings with Cesar salad along with the appetizer catfish that were okay however, the wings were not coated well with the sauce. As far as the cocktails go you can’t go wrong with drinks. the strong island lemonade was a hit. We were Very disappointed with the food. The picture below of the chili wings.

Great atmosphere, but the waffles were a meh experience. Thankfully, the wings were seasoned quite well, though. My biggest concern was when served Sweet tea, it was carbonated?? When replaced with a coke, it was a different and odd taste also. Maybe the fountain machine requires a deep clean? The worst part of the experience is the waitstaff charged for beverages we didn’t drink, and when asked for, the manager copped an attitude. Let’s discuss this automatic gratuity for a table of 3? Really? Being a first experience, it will definitely be the only.

BQE did it right! My husband and I went for brunch with some skepticism based on other lounges we visited. We were in from out of town so we opted to do the “valet” which is a joke but nevertheless we paid $20 to have our car parked in a parking lot that we were already in by a parking attendant. We figured at least the car will be watched during our visit. Other than parking, everything else was great! They opened a few minutes late but when we walked in we were greeted and immediately sat down a table. Our waitress was friendly and put our orders in and we had drinks within 3 minutes, appetizer within 10 mins, and our entrees shortly after. Everything tasted amazing. We had the red velvet chicken and waffles and they were delicious. The Bellini carafe was just enough for the both of us, and the catfish appetizer! Omg! The best I’ve had! We would definitely attend again when we are in the city, thanks for good service, great food, and the vibes.

My 2nd time here (1st time was comedy night) not so good. Apparently to irder yiur fiid using the bar code…you need an iPhone: droids don’t work wuth the app. Call me “spoiled” but I’m not used to eating with plasticware when I go out to eat dinner. Second of all, why bring out the food for 1 out of a party of 2 so that the other party sits there waiting. Third, no dessert tonight…on Valentine’s day? Then, when we get the bill, we are charged extra for a different wine that we didn’t drink. The problem was fixed right away, but the reasoning was, “the menu is not updated”. Altogether, I had to score them a 3/5 because the food & music was good.
