I had no expectations when entering the place. I found people very friendly there. Food was delicious even for French standards. The ribeye was well cooked, the salad was fresh and the German fries were melting in mouth. It is very good value for money !

If you’re making the long haul through Kansas, you might as well stop and get some food. Pretty good steak, onion rings and the jalapeño poppers were wonderful too. Looks like it’s where the locals go. Nice staff too.

Don’t let the outside appearance sway you, this is a clean, neat little place with tasty, reasonably priced food options. I splurged on the bacon wrapped jalapeños, which was a great decision. The A-1 cooked burger was excellent and the sliced German potatoes a perfect side choice. I like great bourbon and spotted a bottle of Weller behind the bar. A drink of that back home would be $15, but only $4.50. We were staying at the KOA behind it, so an easy walk over without unhooking our tow vehicle.

Low rating is for cleanliness and how they serve ice for drinks. Watch them slam a bag of ice (like you get from a gas station) on the ground a dozen or so times and then dump it into the ice bin for drinks. Letting the sides if the bag that had just been on the floor touch the ice in the bin and the sides of it. Definitely glad I did not get a drink with ice. Someone needs to do some food safety and sanitary training ASAP.
