I am sadden to even be writing this, but the only thing good I had out of thos experience was the calamari. We got seated and then sat there for 15 minutes while two waiters just walked past us without saying anything. Not even a hello, I’ll be right with you. But they sure did not have any problems greeting others . It was so bad that I had to flag down a waiter to just get water. I asked him if he was our waiter and he said no but he can be oook. Well, we finally got water and put in our order. So I ordered, hurry which was really good, had a nice crunch and they also fry jalapeno peppers mixed in as well it was really tasty. Also ordered a surf Burger medium. When I got the burger it was not medium at all it was well done and dry. I was very disappointed and that burger definitely needed not worth what I spent. But the frustrating thing again when we received the food there was no waiter that came by and asked was everything okay or two hour liking or nothing. I was in need of some water I couldn’t get that because I couldn’t find a waiter or let alone I’ll waiter all I noticed he just kept walking past our table without checking on us and there was really disturbing. Needless to say I would not be returning to that restaurant and hopefully after reading this review they will get it together. Because I didn’t feel welcome nor did I feel like I belong

Love this place! Perfect location on the Boardwalk and the real stars are the staff. Lorian, Katelyn, Jane, Rachel, Zach, Stevie, Julian, and Marilyn are amazing. Chef Roger really delivers in the kitchen and Chef Nora’s desserts are out of this world. Today I had the lamb shank and it was a perfect meal: fall off the bone tender, mint glaze, garlic mash and veggies. The vibe in here is like a California surf spot with live music with lots of light and positive energy. Make it your hangout spot on the beach!

We went there for dinner. The restaurant looks great. The drinks were good. Prompt service for food order and delivery . We all enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was busy but not packed like it usually is.

My server was great and the place is super pretty inside. Do bring a shirt with you if you’re coming in from the beach. Sadly my burrito was not good. The steak was tasteless and the dressings didn’t even mask how bland it was. The people I ate with said the same about their food. For the price of the food I’d hope it would at least taste like something. Drinks were good

Gluten free friendly! I think they’ve done an awesome job since taking over from the prior owners. The indoor space is brighter and more open, the food is a huge improvement and bonus points – they offer gluten free burger buns. Can’t beat the views outside on the boardwalk. The weekend music scene is unchanged from old Langosta, still the best spot on a Fri or Sat for local live music.

In a town full of weak drinks, overpriced sushi, and inattentive waitstaff, the Break bucks the trend. With the strongest drinks in town and rolls as big as your head, they have made a statement which lives up and in my opinion exceeds the reputation of Asbury’s restaurant scene

The only reason I’m giving this a one star is because the wait staff was actually good. The food was absolutely horrible. I got the lobster Mac and cheese and it literally tasted like plain pasta with a sprinkle of bread crumbs, the sauce was almost non existent and it had water like consistency. A fast good meal would have been a far better option. This restaurant used be great before ownership changed. Don’t waste your money there

I recently visited The Break, and I had the pleasure of being served by the wonderful Katelyn. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure that our dining experience was top-notch. The decor was both modern and inviting, with a color scheme that perfectly captured the essence of the nearby coast. The open floor plan was perfect for enjoying the beautiful view while dining. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing dining experience.The food was also absolutely delicious – every dish we ordered was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. WAY downhill since last Summer. I’d never complain about prices on a boardwalk, but if you charge $16 for a basic burger at lunch, I’d figure it would be done well enough not to get sick from (esp when ordered med) & come with something other than inedible chips. When I asked our waiter if they were housemade, he said, “I don’t know, I’m new here.” Even had I not worked in Restaurants a total of almost 10 years, “I’m not sure, let me check” would’ve been my answer. The sushi rolls looked really good & were huge for the price, but if I got sick from ground beef here, I wouldn’t even consider raw fish. Been told restaurants in town are way better anyway.
