This place was excellent! It’s probably the nicest place to dine in Santa Fe. It has a really old-school steakhouse vibe which we were totally into. Our filets were cooked perfectly and the sides were also very good. My only critique was that our server totally ditched us once she realized we weren’t ordering drinks; the classic “no-alcohol treatment.” But I did flag down the manager and he did apologize and roll out the red carpet for us. Excellent service recovery! I would highly recommend!

Phenomenal fine dining! We had the Porterhouse for Two and it was amazing! The meat was delicious and soft like butter. This is one of the best steak restaurants we have ever been to. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone whose looking for life changing food!

We sat in the bar on a Saturday night because the restaurant was full with reservations. Bar area Is huge with tables and you can order off full menu or bar menu. We had Prime rib, mashed potatos, asparagus, mushrooms (too much butter) and carrots cake, 1 glass of wine and 2 beers ($200). Service was great they have dedicated servers for bar area.

We had a small issue with the scalloped potatoes, but the mashed way more than made up for them. The onion rings were beyond compare. My friend ordered filet mid-well, it came butterflied and did not look like a filet cut at all. Lisa, the manager took both the filet and the scalloped potatoes off the bill. Our server was amazing, and dang if I can call his name up, but I have a photo. See below, he’s taking our pic!

I love the look of this old school steakhouse, but some things were a bit lacking. The steaks were great, but all 3 sides we ordered were pretty bland. As for service, I saw that other servers were doing a great job of taking care of their tables, but our service rarely checked on us. It wasn’t until late into our meal when I had to flag down the hostess to order a top shelf cognac for my husband, that he was suddenly attentive the rest of our meal (the last 20 mins). We were there for our anniversary and dressed to the nines. Our final tab was almost $400 before tip. Even after everything, I still tipped our server $100. My way of pointing out that he shouldn’t prejudge people because it’s kinda what it felt like was happening. Everyone else around us seemed to be dressed more business casual to casual. So, I’m not exactly sure why we seemed to be the only ones getting lackluster service. Don’t think we will go back.

This was a first time visit and we will not be giving them a second chance. The service was the worst we’ve ever had! We got our first cocktails pretty quick however it took forever to have our food order taken with the waitress spending more time hanging out at the end of the bar instead of taking care of her customers. The waitress was inattentive, acted and appeared to be high. Any time something was brought to our table my wife and I would say thank-you and not one person responded in anyway never mind not saying “you’re welcome”.

Was very excited to dine here and was left feeling mediocre. The location and staff are very nice. The appetizers were not a good start as they were greasy/oily and not crisp. The aioli with the onion strings was phenomenal. The food delivery timing was way off as it was 54 minutes from appetizers to main course. We were just at the point of leaving when our steaks came out. The steak was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. The sides were very large and tasty. The desert we chose was the pecan pie and that was off the charts! Highly recommend the pecan pie…..that is one of my favorites and this one ranks with the best. The coffee was good but I would suggest a better coffee cup…..I know this is something petty but at such an establishment it was odd to get coffee in a thick ceramic mug reminiscent of a truck stop diner. Overall I have to say my expectations were much higher and I left feeling a bit let down. I did.not feel a WOW factor……with the exception of the pecan pie!!!!

IMO, this place was good on the surface and seemed to cater to the over 60 crowd. We enjoyed the food and couldn’t find anything specific that we didn’t like, however, the restaurant was missing small details that would have made it nicer. The food was served without garnish, offer of any sides, or specialty dressings. The salads were a bit bland. The steaks were good. I had the Ribeye which was tender and flavorful. My husband had the Matador which was dry in the center but garnished well per the menu description. The dessert was a great Pecan Pie with ice cream. The whipped cream was disappointing and tasted like it was from a can. Overall, I would say that it was overpriced and overrated, but not a bad meal. The wait staff were all wonderful and provided prompt service. The restroom was clean, but no facial tissue and no hand lotion or nice touches. I will not be a returning customer, not because it was too expensive, but because I expected a better experience.
