Here right now. 1st time. We felt like it was way over priced for what we got. The burger was super small. Definitely can’t share here. There is no one here, and 2 people in the kitchen and it took 25 minutes to get a burger. Then my onion rings didn’t make it out for ANOTHER 10 minutes . Still hungry in arcata… Not coming back

Make sure to ask for your burger to be medium well. The burgers I’ve had here are usually a bit dry, even smothered in cheese and ketchup/mayo (I’m a glutton for all). Also, if you’re a peculiar lass like myself, you’ll like tartar sauce on your sweet potato fries. Their tartar sauce isn’t great. Get the curly fries. There are two TVs that usually play sportsball games, but not too loud. I’ve always had fun conversations with others regarding sh*t I am naïve about with regard to these games. For instance, why is there a negative sign next to the team who has the ball? Why didn’t they make it a star so people wouldn’t think they have negative points? ….clearly valuable information insights for the NFL here. Enjoy! Dead Reckoning is next door. Bonus.

I had a “build your own” burger(habanero cheese, Jalapeños peppers, onions and pickles), loaded cheese fries and for desert the special Orange creamsicle shake. My boys had different burgers too. All were cooked just right, juicy and tasty. The beef is advertised as grass fed. My son had the corn dog and mentioned it was tasty too. The only point to be slightly negative are the exhaust over the grill was not expelling the smoke from the grill fast enough. The restaurant smelled too strongly of cooked burgers, so did my clothes when I got home. I admit that for three people and $100, it was a tad expensive for burgers.

Me and my wife go and eat here allot , it’s usually really good and deserving of the price. Today we went and were saddened to find that our favorite burgers recipe was changed and tasted like burnt garlic and it was on the well side. We alway eat all of our meal but this was un edible. My wife told them and gave the food back with this told to us , that I’m only the cook. I unfortunately will not be returning to my once favorite burger place.

I hadn’t been to the burger joint in 2 years so I figured that I’d check in and see if they were still good. I really just wanted a good burger after a long trip home. When ordering my food the employee was nice and patient. However I wasn’t offered a drink with my meal or a beer in the mean time while I wait. When picking up my order and finally getting home and trying the burger, I had realized the burger joint had changed. The bun was over cooked so when you toasted it, it just became more burnt. Unfortunately the buns are not what they used to be at all. When holding the burger in my hand it felt like a stone. At this point I knew I should not have spent my money on a $20 burger. I could’ve taken that $20 and spent it at Tonis instead on a $12 burger that would’ve been wayyy better. The meat was so over cooked and there was hardly if any goat cheese on the burger. It was literally the driest burger I’ve had in a long time. I specifically remember when I used to come in to the burger joint that they would ask me how I wanted my burger cooked especially since it’s grass fed and prone to be a little more dry. But nope. I guess they cook them all one temp now. I’m just so disappointed over all because $20 is a lot for a burger and I was really rooting for the burger joint but now it just gone down hill and not good anymore. Probably not coming back.

food is okay. I was happy to get a grass fed burger in Arcata, however I will not be returning. it is wildly overpriced, & they seem to be understaffed. the woman who helped me was very nice & seemed to be good at her job, but I was told my order would be 25-30 mins, and upon arriving to pick up my order 45 mins later, I was told I had to wait another 20 mins. I asked if I could get anything discounted for my wait, & they only offered to cancel & refund my order, as they hadn’t even started making it yet. so I paid full price (about $45 dollars) for a burger, undercooked fries, mediocre fried pickles, and a milkshake, which all took over an hour. I will not be returning.

One of the best outdoor eating locations in Arcata. That’s not to say they don’t have wonderful indoor dining as well they have high ceilings and really good ventilation. Definitely during the pandemic this is an amazing place to eat and feel very comfortable. The burgers are amazing whether you pick chicken veggie or beef. Definitely try their fries and they have an amazing selection of beers, ciders and wine. Head out to the back area and play some cornhole and sit under one of many pergolas. Excellent spot.

I got so excited when I saw this place does burger bowls. I ordered the juicy Lucy as a bowl, my lady a gluten free build your own and a side of fried pickles. $51 not including tip. OK I get it. Super good burger MIGHT make that price reasonable? Somehow?
