I don’t eat many burgers, so I’ve always passed by The Burger Shop when I’m in Hernando, but today I thought I’d try it out, and I’m glad I did. I ordered red beans and rice and seasoned potato wedges, and they tasted just like delicious homemade food. So good! I will definitely be back here to have more of the same and try some of the fish dishes, and maybe even a burger.

The burgers that my children and I ordered were quite good. However, my husband found a piece of wood plastic in his shrimp po’ boy. The cook merely replied “my bad” and did not offer to replace the sandwich or comp it. My husband also found a weird tissue in his chili that looked like skin or organ lining (see pic). Needless to say we won’t be returning.

This place makes a great burger. The 1/2 lb mushroom Swiss burger will not disappoint. For the price and quality, this place is worth it in many ways. Oh and don’t forget the potato wedges to go along with the burger. A wonderful change to the typical boring french fry that is served everywhere else. This is my go to place for a delicious burger in Desoto County.

Not a fan. Not sure how this place gets 4+ stars. Non stop flys inside. The BB king burger was not my liking. The blu cheese is difficult to get over. The Texas chili burger was a hot mess. The bun fell apart due to all the moisture. It was like eating a bread soup.

I’ve tried this place about half a dozen times since it was located near I-55. Everytime i want to give it another try, I am once again disappointed. Everytime the burger leaves me feeling nauseous. Today I called in an order and they were out of bacon, WHAT KIND OF BURGER SHOP RUNS OUT OF BACON?! They have always been too overpriced, today it was $24 for 2 burgers and a side of less than mediocre garlic fries. I will not be going back ever again.

Quaint little shop in Hernando. Went for dinner (party of 3). Had the chili, steak burger, bb king burger, loaded fries and royal crown burger. Staff was nice and helpful, food was delivered in reasonable time as well. Nobody had any complaints. Food was on point (7.5/10). Would definitely recommend.

This burger joint is quickly becoming a Hernando staple. The burger options are tasty and stacked with toppings. The sides are good (Rotel Mac & Cheese guys!). They also offer discounts for people working for the county, so school, law enforcement, and others should enjoy this lunch break shop!
