We spent the day antiquing.. This little treasure was highly recommended and it was above expectations.. The folks are just amazing.. Our server was the absolute best.. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful Mountain View.. Met the nicest local folks to chat with while waiting on our meal.. The owner visited with us and made us feel really welcome.. But the food is their showcase.. Homemade onion rings and the best patty melt ever.. My hubby had meatloaf.. mashed potatoes and fried okra..I had to fight to keep my onion rings.. This place is a hidden gem and well worth the drive.. Planning our next trip this week to enjoy seafood night..

This was a recommendation and I’m so glad we went. It was the best food. Some of the best I’ve ever had. The onion rings were so good! The boys said the Reuben was the best they’ve ever had. The open face roast beef and mashed potatoes were amazing. The service was outstanding. We’ll be back.

I live in Dunlap and it’s hard to find good places to eat. Most of the country mom-and-pop restaurants are just reheated canned food. And then they charge you lots of money to canned food.

Stopped here for lunch during the Hwy 127 long yard sale. Place was very busy, but these people had their act together. They were prepared for this event. Food was great, service was even greater. The only thing I could critique is their sweet tea. I’m from Georgia, our sweet tea can cause diabetic coma, in other words we give you a little tea with your sugar. The girls swapped my drink for a Dr. Pepper with a smile. I will definitely return to this place when in town.

The Butter Dish it’s a great little diner, with friendly staff and delicious food. I had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, that comes with two sides and a choice of dinner rolls or cornbread. I picked creamed corn and the vegetable of the day, collard greens, and dinner roll for the bread. My wife got the hot turkey and gravy open faced sandwich and chose pinto beans and fried okra to accompany the sandwich and mashed potatoes and gravy. We both thought all the various dishes were delicious and plentiful. We also each got a slice of key lime pie to-go and the total bill was under $30, so great food, great service, and a great price!

We just had the opportunity to eat breakfast here last weekend. The food and the people are fantastic! I had the “whole pig” omelet with home fries and fresh tomato slices. It couldn’t have been any better. We’ll be back for breakfast on weekends but I can’t wait to try lunch and supper there too! So good!
