Susan is a great cook…. place had quite a bit of folks coming in for take out. Kitchen may close at 5pm so keep that in mind. A wonderful taste of home like we say in trinidad yuh know ah good hand when yuh taste it. Will be back next time in DC.

Me and my wife wasn’t sure if we wanted to try this place…. BUT I’m so glad we did. The food is AWESOME. Being a Texan and a Mexican we like our food spicy and flavor-able. It was perfect! The owner and his staff were pleasant and generous. They will see our faces again and again.

I didn’t know this place existed until only recently. I wish I knew about them sooner. Their food was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly. The customer service was excellent. The one front counter person was fast, knowledgeable, and patient with us. It’s a cute little restaurant with a calming ambiance.

My family and I were in town, after driving for awhile when we saw this Caribbean restaurant ,so we decide to give it a try. I feel I wasted $40. The music was so loud I had to repeat myself and the person behind the counter how to repeat herself. I said it was hard to hear over the music, but she didnt turned it.down. That meant I would never return. The chicken had bones in places I didn’t expect, sharp shards. The wing with it had this bumpy rubbery skin on it. The collards were OK. The mac and cheese was fried cheese with fried noodles and oily. It was a waste of my money.

I wouldn’t put this at the top of my Caribbean spots but it’s def not terrible. We tried the curry salmon with chickpeas and greens and the curry shrimp with rice and peas and macaroni with a side of cabbage. The curry salmon had the texture of mush, they shredded and pounded it too much. It was very oily as well. The curry shrimp was good with flavor, but a little dry. The Mac and cheese wasn’t seasoned well either. I’m not sure how authentic this place is. I’ll give them another try before I write them off. I want to try the stewed fish
