I so wanted to love this place. I heard great things from local residents, so maybe this was an off-day? I sat at a very sticky table. The “focaccia” was like dense & flat (Paul Hollywood would have failed it! No rise in the proofing) and the mussels were good and fresh, but flavoring was not there. Lastly the key lime pie, although the filling was very good, the pie crust was not baked and the filling made the graham cracker crust mushy. too bad. I really did want to love it here.

Coming off a week long boat trip in Tenants Harbor, we were lucky enough to happen upon this restaurant and grab 3 seats at the bar for a last minute dinner. Every table was reserved and we soon understood why. We had the most pleasant dinner experience with Greg. He was very knowledgeable about the food, drinks, and the area. Everything from the mussels through the main courses (the halibut is a must have!) to the desserts, exceeded all of our expectations. This little unassuming inn is well worth the excursion. We will be recommending this spot to everyone we know who is visiting the area. Thank you!!

Exquisite dinning. We were seated outdoors with a wonderful view that featured the finest of Maine’s seacoast, a rising moon, all later misted with fog. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in meeting a dietary restriction in our party. The food was beyond expectations. I had the halibut and found it to be perfect in presentation, portion, and preparation! I was similarly delighted on tasting both the seaweed salad and the fisherman’s platter from others seated at our table. I look forward to returning.

We had high hopes and good recommendations and in the end all 3 of us reported disappointment in the food. It was all mediocre. I got a veggie burger which had a strange flavor and texture. It was missing something. The other person got the crab cakes Benedict and said something was off with the crab meat like not the local quality usually expected and the third person got the haddock sandwich and reported it as being also mediocre. Key lime pie dessert and cheesecake – both mediocre. Key lime pie had too many other things mixed with it. Location was great and service was great. They better be careful in the kitchen there… regroup!

Great meal – the blueberry margaritas were fantastic. The halibut was cooked perfectly and the sauce it was served with was delicious. The restaurant is attached to the Inn and the atmosphere was really quaint and charming. My kids appreciated being able to play outside while waiting on theiy food.

Impressive place! Everything this restaurant has is of the highest quality. From the impressive drinks menu of high-end whisky’s and wines to the food, I highly recommend this place. Also, they made me the best steak ever!

We love it here! The view from the heated deck is beautiful, the food is always great, the drinks are well executed, and the staff and owners are lovely! 10/10 on the Sunday brunch, and the most fantastic Build Your Own bloody marys! Do your part and make a reservation BEFORE you arrive, this place is busy because they’re GREAT!

Wonderful dining out on the new deck. We ended up at this restaurant 3 times this week just to explore its full menu. Very good vegan and vegetarian options. (Vegan “crabcakes” and Wild mushrooms en Croute were the standouts.

On our way to Canada we had the great fortune of discovering an amazing BnB called The Craignair Inn which has a restaurant, The Causeway, featuring a variety of vegan options. These aren’t just any vegan options either, they’re delightful vegan seafood dishes curated and conceived of by the proprietor, Greg.
