I dined at Chicken Shanty on July 14, 2023 around 4:30 PM. My intention was to savor a delectable chicken wrap. However, I was slightly disappointed to find that the wrap contained an abundance of tortilla wrap, lettuce and pimento cheese, overshadowing the presence of chicken. Despite this, I must admit that the flavors were commendable. It would have been preferable if the chicken portion had been more generous as depicted in the advertised image since this is a chicken shack not a lettuce shack. While I couldn’t help but feel slightly shortchanged, I acknowledge that it would be ungracious to dwell on such matters. Ultimately, I consumed the meal and appreciated it’s overall taste.

All the bad reviews must be from all the folks moving here from California who expect everything to be about them. (Go home). This is an Oregon based chicken joint and there food is far from bland and the owner is a great guy and very nice. Portions I’ve had were generous and tasty. I would give a 5 star but I think the price is a few dollars high. Other than that this place is worth going to if you love real fried chicken .

The wife and I ate there to try something new. We were both impressed by the portion sizes and the taste. I had the 3 piece meal and I was given 3 large pieces (too large to eat in one sitting) and they were delicious. The best part are the dipping sauces. I had Voo Doo and Southern Home.

Should have taken a picture to accompany the review. Paid $14 dollars for a Jalapeño popper sandwich. Sandwich had hardly any chicken, and for the price one would hope the quality was good, but it was not. The chicken tastes, looks, and feels like the cheap nasty frozen breasts (definitely not fresh as they claim). SADDEST LOOKING SANDO EVER. Gave them 2 starts because their Thai wrap was decent.

Me and the wife went to eat there and I ordered the 6 piece wings and was cold. We also ordered the chicken sandwich and got 2 small pieces. We brought it to the staffs attention and they corrected the cold wings but now it was over cooked and the manager or owner didn’t not even come over to attend our concerns which they were standing right there when all this happened. The deep fried Twinkie with cool whip was the only good thing there.
