Restaurant and ice cream shop located in a strip mall near downtown Oconomowoc. Limited indoor and outdoor seating but we were luckily able to snag an outdoor table. The interior booths look like they’ve been recently renovated. 2 cases of different ice creams and sherbert options as well as multiple cone choices. I enjoyed a turkey blackberry jam croissant- the combination of the sweet jam and giardiniera is my favorite. The soft, buttery croissant just completes the awesome sandwich. I did also try a scoop of the sticks and stones (chocolate) ice cream. The saltiness of the little sticks of pretzels and the sweetness of the ice cream was another great combo. Overall, really great food.

You pay by the pound. Our 6 year old got 1 ice cream scoop and it was a little over $1. But our 13 year old got over a pound of ice cream and it was over $10! But they all loved the flavor options and cone options. It was delicious . Everyone loved the tiny spoons.

The word to summarize my experience here today is heartbreaking. I have cherished memories of eating her as I child. It’s been years so I decided to stop in. To my surprise, everything had been repainted and redone. No longer was the charming paintings I grew up with. There were loud, weird people in the store. When I got up to pick up my food another couple stole my booth. My order was wrong but it took so long to get I decided to just eat it. Very mid food. The music was odd and distracting. I was very disappointed to see my beloved hometown chocolate factory fall to such lows. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day was ruined.

Amazing malts, great sandwiches, the staff is always friendly, the place is clean and neat. I think they have the best tasting bread of any sandwich place I’ve ever been to. The Phoenix is my favorite by far.

Normally we love The Chocolate Factory but today my sub was terrible! I got a turkey sub and there was very little turkey on it. Not that I minded because the turkey was horrid! Weird look and taste. I opened the sandwich and it looked like bacon. Nope it was turkey all shriveled up and brown. And the smokey taste was just as bad. They must be using a new turkey because it just tasted gross. Just sitting here al I smell is this disgusting turkey. I’ve never had a problem with their turkey before!!

I love the new shaved, lightly smoky turkey breast. The old sliced plain turkey-flavored meat was ok, but the new turkey flavor is great! Takes the Phoenix to a whole new level. It should be a special!

Chocolate Factory….you need NEW turkey. You are using a smoked one that is awful. Any other substitutes you can use? I won’t be eating here for awhile I guess. Turkey is the only sub I get. Hoping for a Jersey Mike’s in our new strip mall! Best turkey!

Food is pretty good. The customer service isn’t tho. One lady argued and tried to over charge me while her coworkers were telling her the price was wrong. That makes me feel like she messed up my sandwich on purpose. No cheese on it and forgot my au jus. Can I just give that lady 1 star?
