Chuck Wagon has been around as long as I can remember & to this day it is still one of my favorite places to eat. They have a pretty simplistic mexican menu that is really good. The food they put out is pretty consistent with the exception of the spanish rice. It is either really good or really dry. I will admit that the owners went a little COVID 19 overboard. They don’t serve ice cream anymore & they don’t offer drink refills. If you do order carryout they prefer you wait in your car for your food. They took out several tables & chairs to allow for social distancing. They did shorten the menu & their hours. It’s kind of aggravating that they are closed Sat., Sun., & Mon. & are only open to 8 pm instead of 11pm. Don’t expect to sit down & eat after 7pm but you can still order carryout. I’m sure the owners are tired of working so much as they near retirement but I think closing at 8pm isn’t helpful for families that have after school sports & such. I would like to see them stay open at least until 9pm but I doubt that will ever come to fruition. A lot of other restaurants & fast food chains are closing early because of staffing shortages so I think it would be beneficial for them to remain open that extra hour.

This place used to be great. Now, it’s mediocre. I paid almost $3 for a sweet tea, $6.50 for a double cheeseburger that looks like something from a kids menu. I also tipped $5, But what really bugs me is that they won’t give you refills, instead I was told I’d have to buy another one.. guess I shouldn’t have tipped if I knew that was going to be the case. Shame on yall…

The best cherry coke you will find in the world. The super tacos are always delicious. They are very Covid cautious which is understandable, but it is disappointing they no longer offer refills on drinks. The prices here are higher than at the other location under different ownership in Collinsville. It’s still a great place to eat.

I love this place! I used to get the BBQ plates for my dad and he was always so thrilled when I showed up with a plate. My favorite is the tacos. And, not only is the food good, the restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly. I can also say that this is the only place I’ve ordered to-go food from that gets it right…every time. Not once have they messed up my order. If you haven’t eaten here before, you don’t know what you’re missing.

Try the super tacos and enchiladas. (My go to order) Always order a cherry coke. It’s the best. (The cherry is added in old fashioned style.) Kids meals are so cute and come with suprises. One of the owners has always been on site everytime I visit and are working as hard as the rest of their staff. Very casual but clean atmosphere. I don’t mind the drive over there because its so worth it.
