My husband was wanting a hot beef sandwich for lunch so we drove 44 miles to The Classic Deli. It might seem like a long way to go, but they never disappoint!! The food is delicious and the portions are generous!! All made fresh and delicious. It’s hard to save room for the pie, but you MUST try it!! Totally made from scratch and so delicious!! We try diners and pie all over the state and this place is the best around. Well worth the drive

Luckily the food makes up for the lack of service from a specific server.

It was lunchtime and we were headed east on I-80 and needed a break. This popped up on my google search. Love the uniqueness of this cafe, the small town, the staff was friendly and the food was amazing. The rarebit burger special was delicious and their cinnamon rolls and pies are scrumptious. Don’t forget to take some with you! So much homemade goodness here. This will be a go to stopping point for us in the future!

This place is the real deal! A classic small-town lunch counter/soda fountain! Their paninis are fantastic! We didn’t have time (or room in our stomachs) for dessert, but the ice cream and homemade pies sure looked delicious! Hope I get a chance to return to Brooklyn so I can visit again!

Busy place for a small town restaurant. I can see why! Service was friendly. Food was fantastic! Cooked hot and fresh. Homemade pies — yummy! Ordered pork tenders (deep fried). I was worried that they would be hard and dry because they were slice thin. They were tender, moist and delicious.

I would Iike to say the food was Great but it was the Pies that were Fabulous. I haven’t had a Strawberry Rubar pie since my grandmother passed many years ago. Your Pies are Fabulous.

Great selection sandwiches and deserts with a very friendly staff. Worth the drive from I80 if you want something better than the same old fast food chains. They do take cash and credit. Not sure about checks.

Great atmosphere. Ordered a diet Pepsi, tasted flat, dated August. Asked for another, dated September. Needless to say I didn’t drink either. Grilled tenderloin wasn’t grilled and didn’t have much taste. Was excited for dessert. Out of coconut cream pie, got bread pudding and it tasted like soap. Friendly staff and was really looking forward to the food as picture and meanu items sounded great! Unfortunately we won’t be back.
