Established in 2002, The Clubhouse quickly became a staple for the community to enjoy a fine meal. In May 2023 The Clubhouse was acquired by the Belcher & Padgett families who continue to make this place an amazing go-to location for Stafford.

Some of the negative reviews are ridiculous. For example, I mean, if you are consistently having bad experiences at a restaurant, why on Earth do you continue to come back over and over again to the point where the manager remembers you? It’s pretty common in the restaurant industry to deal with people who complain only because they want a discount – they either make something up or nitpick so intensely to the point of expecting the impossible – and it looks like there’s no exception to be had here. Also, of course the catering service is going to clean up and take away the food at the end of the event – if you want to keep the leftovers, then you let them know and they’ll oblige. They have absolutely no reason to want to keep the food since they have to toss it out anyway. They can’t reuse large quantities of a specifically requested dish that’s been sitting out all day unless you had nothing more than bags of potato chips and canned corn served at the wedding. It’s not their fault that they can’t read your mind, just say something next time. Seriously, I’ve never seen so many ridiculous reviews in one place since people generally tend to have a bit more self awareness. Is there something about the area that attracts clueless, entitled people? That’s not to imply that I think the restaurant is perfect and cannot be criticized, just that if this place has issues, then post ones that are actually valid.

My wife and I tried The Clubhouse for the first time since we’ve lived in the Harbour. Great atmosphere, great food (loved the surf and turf special) and great staff. Very nice evening and will surely be back.
