I originally went to The Coast as I was passing by and saw their sign for lobster rolls and thought I would take one home for my wife. Thinking it would be an appetizer type thing, I was pleasantly surprised to see they basically created a huge sandwich and called it a roll. Since that is one her favorite things, I knew I had to take her there for her birthday for the full experience and it was a great one. The staff was attentive and took care of all our needs without having to ask. The food was excellent; even the burger my daughter got, but especially the lobster bisque and red snapper my wife ordered. She’s the seafood girl, so I got the tenderloin which was also a great choice. Prepared as requested and served with the best potatoes au gratin I’ve ever had! It’s great when you can support the local businesses, but even better when they make it worthwhile! Keep it up The Coast!

No sign labeled THE COASTAL outside, be on the lookout for 714 above the door, we almost missed it! Enjoyed this little restaurant. We did not make reservations but got lucky on the timing of our arrival, other incoming guests were not so lucky. We had the crab cakes, ahi tuna and Shrimp ala Plancha (the bread served within was a little charred but other than that no complaints!) We will definitely be back!

Had a delicious burger and asparagus! Started out with the chips appetizer, which is always yummy. Didn’t have the coconut cake tonight, but have at previous visits and it is excellent.

We really wanted to like the Coastal. We went on a Saturday night, and the service was excellent, however the small plate type menu was over-priced. Really struggled with what to order. The 3 in our party ordered the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. It was good but not exactly what you want to order at a nice restaurant on a Saturday night. The mussels were good, but not very filling. I had a tasty shrimp dish, but it was on toast. That’s it, no rice or anything else. You need to order a side since the plates are small, but that takes each person well over $30 so you’re not getting much for the value. We all left hungry. Also the pours for the wine were too small. There are better options in town. We will not return.

I’d seen the reviews and we wanted try something new for our anniversary. Lobster Bisque was really good, our. server misunderstood and bought us one to share, I’m glad she did!! Very rich!! My wife had the Lobster Roll and I had the Red Snapper special! Both were delicious!! We’ll be back!!

The service was fantastic, most of the food was good, a couple minor things, the crabcake was under seasoned and the salmon was over cooked and dry. The lobster bisque was out of this world though. I thought they needed more entrees on the menu and less appetizer type dishes. The atmosphere was very loud, could barely hear each other talk.
