The CODfather is the ONLY place in town to get PROPER fish and chips. Our WORLD FAMOUS fish and chips are hand made the traditional British way. HUGE 8oz North Atlantic Cod fillets dipped in our own recipe wet batter and cooked until golden brown. Chippy chips hand cut daily from only premium crop potatoes and cooked twice for perfection. We also bake our own line of savory British style meat pies and sausage rolls.
In the pub we have a selection of draught beer from the old country and local craft beers. Wine also available.

It’s embarrassing, really, how long it took me to make it here to eat. Finally stopped in yesterday for fish and chips, a chicken and curry pie, and a sausage roll. I was skeptical because I wasn’t a huge fan of the “proper fish and chips” I’ve had across the pond, but I am now a believer. The fish was fried perfectly with not too much breading. The tarter sauce was the perfect accompaniment. The sausage roll was sage-y and savory in a lovely buttery puff pastry blanket. The chicken and curry pie may have been my favorite, though, as I’ve never had one quite like it. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Delicious. The half fish & chips was a perfect serving for one person and the fish was perfectly crispy. You will have to salt the chips (fries) yourself when it’s nice and hot. The tartar sauce is delicious but a little crazy to pay extra for a condiment that you might not use all of it. Also note there is a 3.5% charge for using a card and they don’t tell you that up front you just find out on your receipt, so pay cash if that’s something that would bother you.

Amazing authentic British food! We had the cod, chips, sausage rolls, pies, and mushy peas. Everything was delicious. I noticed how well seasoned their meat is in the roll and pie. Tartar sauce was spot on, I could drink it. Curry sauce was great too!

Fish and chips were hot and so good! The place was clean and didn’t smell like a fish restaurant. Loved the artwork and English decor. My husband is English, and it was nice talking about the bits and bobs they had around while you waited for your food. Cashier lady was also very nice, welcoming, and friendly 🙂 The 1 piece of fish was huge, and I tried to get the camera to see the size lol so I put the fork in there for comparison.

Get the full order of fish and chips- you won’t be disappointed! The batter was light and crisp and the fish was awesome! It was so good after the Cooper River Run! Service was great! Had a tasty sour beer to go with it! The curry sauce was good, not sure what the mystery bits were in it though.
