Really nice people. Awesome view. The food was great. The halibut fish n chips is a must if you love halibut. Would definitely eat there anytime and highly recommend. Absolutely worth getting off the ship just for the food.

Grabbed a chorizo breakfast burrito here on an early port day. It was so hot and delicious. Super fresh and totally hit the spot. This place was dead in the morning but by lunch, it was absolutely packed. (Everyone was coming in and asking about their fish and chips so I am sure it’s a must-get). The staff was very friendly and would definitely get it again.

We ate here for lunch this afternoon (6/1/23) and it was excellent! I so wish that I could bring the halibut & chips back w/ us to Ohio. I can’t tell begin to tell you how good the fish was. Fresh off the boat is no lie…our entire family loved this place during our cruise. Definitely a must-do while you’re visiting ISP/Hoonah. Employees were friendly & welcoming. Well worth the $$$!

The Halibut & Chips were amazing. I expected them to be good but they WAY exceeded my expectations. If you’d like a meal that makes you dance, stop here. The customer service was plesant and welcoming.

Diners should be aware that the seafood feast is like an East Coast Seafood Boil. The local shrimp, crab, corn on the cob, russet potatoes, and other goodies are boiled together. This was a problem for those with allergies. However, other guests were very pleased with the freshness and vibrant flavor of the Icy Strait shellfish. The Cookhouse staff went to the trouble of preparing a huge serving of shrimp for me, which was delightful. Beverages are limited. The restaurant staff are hospitable and thoughtful, just like everyone working at Icy Strait Point.
