Traveling through the area and found this hidden little gem. Came recommend by some folks for their local delights and it delivered. Intended to try the dinner time experience but ended up with a breakfast treat which was superb as well. They have a house speciality breakfast that i recommend. It hits the spot. Great attentive servers and a quick food out order makes this a breeze. Quirky decor throughout and nice folks dining around make this a sure pleasant experience.

Well worth the walk up the hill from the truck stop! Great variety on the menu. Almost too much to choose from so I went with the special. Excellent homemade meatloaf, creamy baked mac n cheese, and crispy fried squash. Even the ranch dressing seems to have been made in-house. Very homey atmosphere and great service.

Stopped here looking for some home style cooking and sweet tea! The menu is large, definitely something for everyone including the picky eaters. The staff certainly had that southern hospitality you would expect walking into a place such as this, everyone was great. The food was not overly impressive but it was still good. Some things were bland that we ordered like it was just out of the freezer while other things tasted pretty good and fresh made. Definitely worth a stop if passing through for decent food and good prices.

The veggie omlett was delicious, and I enjoyed the warm apples and biscut.

Worth the stop. Little country restaurant. The beef tips and popcorn shrimp were on point. Skip the loaded potato. Very good collards and corn fritters. Green beans and fried okra met expectations.

Wow. Salt and Pepper Catfish is really good. Huge pieces! (The fish on the plate was just one piece) Sweet potato casserole! Hush puppies were tasty. Creamy mac n cheese! I’ll be back

Quaint little restaurant just off of I77 in the northern part of North Carolina. It was fairly empty when we got there, filling up as we were leaving. Waitresses were friendly but not very attentive. Spouse got unsweetened tea, took her a bit to refill it… and then she filed it with sweet tea twice. He just ended up drinking it.

Every time I’ve been had the same server. She is very polite and friendly, food is always good in my opinion. The prices are comparable to other restaurants. The restaurant is always clean and very pleasant to dine their. Give it a try, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
