It’s great to see this restaurant open again. My family and I are local and eaten there 4 times. The first time was a Friday and was packed, no tables available. They warned us it may be a little slow getting food but we had a seat at the counter anyway. The staff entertained my son and gave him crayons an a coloring book. Food was good when it came out. Each time we returned the food and service was good. I do wish the menu was laid out a bit different, they could offer more dish options without adding more ingredients.

The Country Chef has a wonderful and homey atmosphere and serves incredible food. Seriously, the food is amazing! If you’re eating inside, the walls are decorated with beautiful art, and if you’re eating outside, the nature of New Hampshire is gorgeous. After dinner, the dessert is amazing, whether you order at your table or visit the ice cream shop attached to the building. From where I live, it’s a 2 hour drive to the Country Chef, but I don’t blink the distance because the reward of dining there is absolutely worth it.

This place is a great find! I went with my brother’s family and my own on the 4th of July — nine of us in all. The outdoor seating under canopies was very nice, and our server, Donna, was very warm and friendly, and great with our kids. The food was amazing. Beyond the exceptional fish & chips and chicken tenders that some in our party chose, my wife had the pulled pork mac n’ cheese, and my daughter and I had the pulled pork sandwiches. I’ve had some great pulled pork at southern BBQ joints, but this was the best I’ve tasted. I wish we’d had time to stay for the live music and cornhole. We hope you come back again when we’re next in Wilton!

Large portions. The breakfast was very good. Got the fish and chips for lunch and there was too much breading on the fish for my tastes. Good flavor…just a bit much. The staff is friendly. Hope this place makes it as I live nearby. The other lunch dishes in my groups visit were good. Give them a try!

The country chef has the best pizza around. I had some tonight and it was even so good warmed up as well. And the drinks are perfectly made. So happy with the staff and everything!! Count of had a better experience.

We ordered breakfast here. I found that my eggs were cooked correctly, however the homefries were extremely overcooked to the point of being nearly black and the corned beef hash was just out of a can (for about $4 more a plate, I would expect it to be better than that). I can’t recommend this place at all.

My wife and I tried the food mixed drinks and the live music tonight and came to the reallization that full bar means low grade liquor at top shelf price. And a mediocre fisherman’s platter. Chicken fingers were descent but frozen brand. The help although friendly enough was forgetful probly due to inexperience. I think we will return for the entertainment and hospitality with the hope that the staff become more in tune and the food improves. IPA’s would be a nice touch as well as top shelf liquor at already established prices.

The food was good but basic. The waitress was not great. Ordered soup before the meal, she forgot. Had to remind her but then it came with the meal. No silverware on the table, had to ask for it. Next table order something they were out of but the waitress didn’t know.
