I got the chicken fried steak Benedict. The chicken, eggs and biscuits we’re good but the country gravy is lacking flavor needs pepper or seasoning because it’s just pasty.

It all started at the front door. My mother is elderly, and the hostess was promptly holding the door with a smile open for her as she came in. I was right behind her trying to make sure that she was getting in securely, When the hostess went out of her way. We sat down to eat and decided on what we were going to eat. And our server was very pleasant, very caring, and also went out of her way to make sure that we were pleased. This is one of those unassuming places to eat. That may be passed up by most. But I can assure you the food is good. The portions are great and the staff is ultra attentive.

The food was delicious and I’d go back for lunch. But I did have a problem with the bathroom aspect of the restaurant. The sink that I used didn’t have hot water. I didn’t use the other sink because it was being used. I didn’t get to look in where the toilet was because it was being used as well. I also noticed that one of the paper towel dispensers didn’t have any in it. Shouldn’t they look into this stuff either before they open or after they close the day before they open for the public ? I didn’t have my Mom check the women’s bathroom but I think next time I will and that will give me a chance to either post another review or not.. The price I paid for my unlimited refills of lemonade was ridiculous. For the same price I should’ve gotten the orange juice but no telling if it would’ve been fresh or something else..

Stopped for lunch, waitress for got my salad and then brought to me in to go box, for got to give me straws for drinks and then came by to check if she gave me the check two times. Corn was bad and didn’t eat it. Definitely wasn’t fresh. I gave it three stars just because food was fast.

Typical diner experience. The coffee is decent. The food is a little pricey. I had the Eggs Benedict, which was OK. I am curious to try the steak and eggs, but will wait until a Monday when it is more affordable. Different deals on different days, which is helpful.
