I would say they have the best fried chicken I have tried in LA so far. There is s o much flavor in their food. There can be a bit of wait sometimes, but never anything outrageously long. All of the hostesses and servers I have personally encountered have always been very friendly.

Saturday wait time was about an hour. We were seated upon arrival at our correct time. I the restaurant was very busy. Our waiter was awesome though. We were seated, given menus, and water.

The potential is there. I was going to order Shrimp and Grits but my wife ordered that dish with a side of crispy chicken wings and Cheesy eggs. I ordered the Peach Cobbler Waffles and a side of Bacon. Whatever that sauce is that came with grits is not my favorite! The consistency of the grits weren’t great either. The bacon was great of course, can’t really mess that up. The color of the chicken looked like it would have been a hit! It wasn’t nasty, however, I’ve had better. Now for the Waffles, they were borderline between barely done and under cooked(same difference). They definitely used canned peaches. It tasted more like Peach Waffles vs Peach Cobbler Waffles. The sauce that was drizzled over was good. It came with Peach butter which was very delicious but I would have separated the two because the meal became too “peachy”. It was over kill on the peaches. I wouldn’t mind visiting again and trying other items on the menu. Our server was great, didn’t catch her name.

Small establishment but the food and drinks were delish. Recommend the champagne flight. The shrimp and grits were good but wasn’t what I was expecting. In the south, the fix the shrimp in a roux sauce and that was what I was hoping for not some fried shrimp with some grits. Most days you will be waiting for quite a long time. Last time I tried to go the wait was an hour and a half.

This place deserves more recognition and business. Food was cooked perfectly. I had the Chef Kens special and the hotcakes were sooooo divine and fluffy. The batter for the hotcakes were made by Jesus Christ. The chicken was flavorful and tender and crispy. Also had a mango mojito that was fizzy and tasty. The chicken n waffles were also good! They give u a choice of a homemade butter too. Food did take over 25mins but listen, this food was worth waiting an hour for.
