The Cove at Acorns Resort. Amazing food! GM Ray, Chef Shawn, Bartender Liz… really good at what they do! Great experience overall just 15 minutes from Fort Riley. Thank you to my friendly staff! Cinnamon Toast Crunch drink, Bob’s Smokehouse Pulled Pork… Outstanding!!!

Great location and good food. Unfortunately, the service is mediocre. We dined in for a family of 6 and waited 2 hours just to get our food. The restaurant was by no means what I would consider to be busy or understaffed. There was definitely a lack of urgency in the kitchen and wait staff. We had to ask for silverware. Our waiter was completely unaware of the specials that were on the sign by the front door. Instead of letting us know they were out of a drink at the bar, they would just not give it to you. Our appetizers came out cold that we could hold the queso upside down. Again, the restaurant was by no means busy or understaffed. It was an unfortunate experience and I hope the owner of the restaurant can get it together before Robert Irvine or Gordon Ramsay have to show up.

Nice location inside Acorn resort. You get a lake side view and in season the have out door seating as well. The food is a little more expensive but you are at a lake so it’s understandable.

Worst food I tried to eat. Southwest egg rolls were doughy. I ordered the elk burger it smelled and tasted like old hamburger couldn’t eat it. My girlfriend ordered the bbq pork sandwich it was so fatty she couldn’t eat it. We sent everything back I wish we would have done that to the egg rolls now both of us feel nauseous. The only good thing about our experience was the waitress she was so nice and kept apologizing for everything. My advice to anyone who is thinking about eating there DON’T menu is way over priced and food is terrible.

Gorgeous atmosphere and my husband enjoyed every thing that he ordered! I however, came for the crab legs only to find out they are ONLY served on Fri & Sat. My wings were overcooked and my salad was sparse. Will try again on a Friday or Saturday.

The cook needs to look for different employment in this place. Ordered the fried mushrooms and the first round came to us burnt clear through to the point the pieces looked like dark yard mulch. The waitress took them back and brought back another burnt round. The sweet tea had zero ice in the glass and was as warm as morning brewed tea. We ordered the fish platter with onion rings and that also was burnt clear through. I asked for condiments to go with the fish and the cocktail sauce was literally frozen and in tiny bowl that would suit one small piece of fish ? The waitress told us they had no more cocktail sauce at an establishment on a “Lake” full of fish that serves fish ? This is our second time in 15 years and will be the last; worst place to have dinner in this god forsaken county. Totally disappointed in this place and deserves not one single star in any department.

Took my family to the Cove restaurant for a reunion meal and it was one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. They seated us at a table that was too small when there were plenty of other options. The appetizers were burned, the lettuce on the sandwiches was bad and the country fried steaks were overcooked to the point of shoe leather. Service was almost non existent. I can sincerely believe that if the health department stopped by they would shut it down.
