Good spot to relax and chill. The service is what kills this place. Very slow. The menu also doesnt fully describe some items. Like the red fish. It took our server maybe 10 minutes to even greet us or take drink orders. Food was good but the service makes me not want to come back. Especially the fact that gratuity was included so it allows the service to be bad.

The snow crab boil was excellent!! I don’t know how the managed to get the Cajun seasoning through the nicely lumped crab legs, but I will definitely return to this restaurant. Service was a little slow, but the waiter explained that one of the waitresses had called out. My husband ate the Mardis Gras pasta which was a plentiful enough for a secondary meal the next day.

The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that the menu makes it really hard to decide what to get because it all looks good!

Took my son and daughter for dinner on a Sunday afternoon despite the reviews. I still wanted to go Concept ideal will this restaurant last in it’s current location until 2019 I’d be surprised. Issa a pop up . Service was decent people were friendly greeted and seated soon as we walked in. Place has a sport bar/lounge feel.Television view from just about any seat. Place was clean. A band was setting up playing soothing tunes aye aye I was fine that. Tables were small for how the food was served. We ordered the salmon dip for appetizer 13.50 good yet had five baguette slices. Received app plates Yay! My son ordered the shrimp & grits with a side of hush puppies as well as truffle mashed potatoes, daughter had a seafood boil combo which consisted of shrimp & snow crab legs side of dirty rice. myself having snow crab legs boil with a 1/2 pound of clams. Speaking for my tummy 2 of my clams weren’t open. The clams were very small never seen these kind before. Seasoning on the crab was okay. I opted for Cajun mild seasoning. Boils come in a bag with and maybe two potatoes. My daughter dirty rice looked and smelled unappetizing. My son huspuppies ans mash potatoes was good were decent. My son and grits presentation was nice but the grits looked reheated very uncreamy. I didn’t even ask for a taste. Crab legs were fresh I just expected lil more for this John’s Creek location. Mmm | my kid waited till we made it home to say Madre there were no cars in the parking lot. Pappaduex would have been more up our alley or Red Lobster although I never order crab legs but plenty other choices I think would have been more satisfying. I hate to not recommend this restaurant. I concur with other reviewers. 3 folks 145 we didn’t complain best think was the alcoholic beverage which makes sense. I doubt if I return and my 23 and older kids concur. Last thing the tea was so black it looked like a Coke or ice coffee. Sorry guys you have major competition in that plaza. Good luck. Pictures are not great since I was snapping.

Yum, yum, yum! I’m a huge fan of the crab spot. I’ve gone here several times with my family. The boils are delicious, filling, and well seasoned with the different options (Cajun is my favorite). If you’re looking for a quite place, this isn’t where you’ll want to go. There’s live music, or a live DJ; always a jam. I wouldn’t go if you’re pressed for time; this is a place where you should hang out and enjoy company.

Food was Great! Service was a bit slow, not sure if the waitstaff was training that night. Band and DJ were excellent! Visiting from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for Super Bowl weekend and will definitely return to the Crab Spot.

Food was good. Problem was our waitress when asked her if they can cut the lemons different for me because I couldn’t squeeze them into my water the way they cut them. They cut them round like onion rings, how the hell are you supposed to squeeze lemons cut like onion rings into a glass of water?

Don’t even border. Super slow in service even there were only very few tables. When we complained about the descrepency of the amount of snow crabs between 1.5lb and 1lb, the manager brought out 1 single crab leg to compensate us. See photo. It was an insult. This was the first and the last time.

Went to this spot with my wife and fraternity brother at his recommendation. Atmosphere was very nice jazz band playing it was a Sunday evening. It wasn’t too crowded we were able to be seated right away. Wait staff was very friendly and not pushy. Food was excellent service was excellent. I would definitely come back again next time I’m in Atlanta!

My initial visit was for lunch in 2018. I tried the gumbo and it was unbelievable! The service was also great. I thought it was a little pricey for lunch, but, I enjoyed the experience. When I returned yesterday for my second visit, it was a totally different experience. I brought my wife, father and daughter. We all ordered the gumbo and it was a completely different recipe from the first visit. This was the most expensive Hormel chili I ever tasted. The gumbo tasted as if it came right out of the can. We also ordered the fried shrimp basket and the fried deviled eggs. The fried deviled eggs tasted like cardboard. The only dish that was descent was the fried shrimp. I told everyone to stop eating and we went to another restaurant after that $110.00 miss. The server was stoic and did not offer any type of compensation toward the bill. This is definitely my last visit. I should have known that they were going through some financial issues when the waitress said that they were out of 15 items on the menu. Try at your own risk.
