We ate here after taking the train trip, it is an older restaurant on the main drag. There were numerous families with kids eating there, very good atmosphere for kids. I had the boneless wings and my wife had a large burger, everything was delicious.

Went for late lunch. Cute atmosphere and friendly service. This place wasn’t inside a casino. Pictured below is the elk chili and bison burger. The bison burger was really good but the elk chili was a little bland. Overall, it’s a decent place to eat.

Caught them after a rush the town had a car show with quite a crowd in town for the afternoon, but service was very off for a restaurant that had a great menu. The food definitely needed a little love. They cut their own fries which is normally great but seemed not to have been washed as well as could have been. I cut a few bucks of potatoes in my day and can taste it. Also would have fried them a touch longer they were very soggy. The $18 Philly cheese steak had great flavor but was very dry, and a minimal amount of steak, onions, and mushrooms. Even the bun wasn’t toasted.

I enjoyed a visit to The Creek while in Cripple Creek with family. I had a Slopper with green chili. The burger was cooked perfectly to temp and the green chili was awesome with big chunks of pork and tomatoes. The mashed potatoes were good too, they were buttery and garlicky with skin pieces mashed in. Our server was friendly and prompt. The restrooms were clean.

Definitely enjoyed the food here. My wife had a French Dip and fries and I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries kinda kept it simple. The meals came out exactly how we asked for them and the fries are great they are hand cut in house is what we where told. When ordering my burger I could of upgraded it to elk or buffalo as well. We also had a appetizer which was the garlic/parmesan boneless wings they where great. We will definitely stop by again. We tried to eat here once before but it was the weekend and it was busy. It was a Thursday this time and it was very slow at the time.

A pretty good experience! Yummy food, fun atmosphere, and a decent beer selection. I’d definitely be back. Be careful about your allergies, though. I asked the waitress if the red elk chili on the chili fries had pork, stating that I can’t eat pork (mild allergy), and she said it doesn’t have any. However, I found much after the fact that she was mistaken. I also recommend skipping the fries. They are a bit more so-so than the rest of the food unless you like soggy fries (fresh, just not prepped well for hand-cut).

That was the best Elk burger that I have ever tasted! Our waitress Kathy was great and very helpful. The restaurant is clean and the prices are reasonable. The carving around the bar area is amazing and the copper ceiling and stained glass really give a warm atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend!

Amazing place to dine. Had the Elk burger and it was the best burger I’ve had in a very long time. Only local restaurant without a noisy casino attached to it. Our bartender/waitress was very helpful and seemed to enjoy her job. I highly recommend the Creek.
