By chance, we walked past here on our way back to the car and we decided to stop in to eat. We came on a busy Friday night, (sat at the bar to avoid the wait for a table) and we had an amazing meal with a lively atmosphere. The food was some of THE BEST I’ve had in Cape May. We got the Spicy Tuna Roll and Lamb Ribs for appetizers, the Espresso Pork Chop for dinner, and finally cheesecake & crème brûlée for dessert. The cocktails were also delicious, and they had live music playing throughout our dinner. The service was immaculate from the hostess to our servers / bartenders. I’m so glad we happened to walk past here – we had the best time!! Will definitely be coming back when we visit Cape May again. Thank you!! 🙂

Our first visit to the Cricket Club was really good so I was very disappointed when we returned and our service very negatively impacted our experience. We were seated at a very small table which wouldn’t have been an issue but was because our table was left uncleared for a significant amount of time. Our server was not attentive at all and did not check in on refreshing cocktails or even bringing fresh silverware and plates. Between appetizer and dinner the server did not return and our main course came out in 45 minutes very very overcooked. I had ordered a fish dish and overcooked fish needless to say is less than what I had hoped for. I can’t say that it is likely we would return to this restaurant again. One major input I would have is if a restaurant is seating a family it is important to realize that room on a table is necessary or at the very least being attentive to clearing plates and refreshing silverware, etc.

Food 4 stars……service 1 star. We ate here and had the lamb chop app, the chicken and waffles app and the short rib sandwich. All of the food was good. The service was poor at best. Our server brought out 2 apps…..unfortutely one of them was the wrong one. By the time the correct one was brought out my wife was finished her app. The server did not say a word about messing up the order nor did they ever check on us. Very poor service!

We had dinner there last night…wonderful meal and great service, though the back room is a bit loud and would benefit from some sound softening material….that said we will not hestitate go back…reasonably priced too! Overall, a great place for dinner!

First time in cape May, someone recommend to me the cricket restaurant so we decided to try it with a couple friends. At the front desk i presented the Ada card for my 3lbs pomeranian dog that was on a pet carrier, to the person at the front desk. It appears that this person was the manager of the restaurant she asked brutally “what’s your disability” I tried to avoid that question because I felt very uncomfortable to talk about my personal health situation while customers on the line behind me waiting, I presented the service dog card but she once again said “I don’t t need to see that what’s your disability?”. I was mortified and all I wanted is just leave the place, I just mumbled as low as I could “emotional support”…… first thing that came into my mind! She refused us the entrance to the restaurant. People need to understand the rules specially when it involves HIPAA. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

A beautiful revisión of an iconic Cape May location. The service was swift, professional and highly impersonal —yes I get it.. after so many tourists does a 2023 server in a fine Cape May restaurant have the energy to authentically engage with customers? They should!
