The renewed and fully renovated used to be known as Park Place Restaurant, has transformed into what we call The D.A.P.P.E.R. @ Park Place. This was a fine dinning establishment with an amazing simply elegance at an affordable price for every one but this establishment has recently altered into an event center that still serves great food during open late night hours during live band or dj’ed entertainment . We have live band performances of all sorts of music from blues, jazz and neo soul with much more entertainment options to come. Excellent location. Great atmosphere. Amazing staff and owners. The food is off the chain lol. You get a hefty serving and it’s worth the money. I brought my boyfriend here from South Carolina and he’s bragged to his friends about how delicious the food was. I’ll definitely be returning.

I must say The Dapper At Park Place is the place to be. The atmosphere was calm, low-key, and soulful. It is absolutely a place dine in and experience the new vibe of Texarkana. They made us feel welcomed and spoiled to the luxurious of the establishment. The owners were active in the service and assisted to make my birthday magnificent. The absolute best atmosphere. Even in the Blue Martini Bar, you don’t think of it as a bar but almost as a restaurant in a restaurant. Different theme. Different menu. Same great atmosphere. All of the walls and ceilings are hand painted.

On a road trip and searching for a good unquie place to get some delicious food. Google maps said they were open but when we pulled in the driveway it looked closed. After driving for hours, we were tired and hungry and did not want to have to search for another option, So I called to see if they might be open. The owner was in the building but did not open for a few hours yet he offered to make us food. It was not only an incredibly nice gesture but the food was outstanding. The building and atmosphere are also full of personality. True southern hospitality that was appreciated.

When we first walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. No detail was overlooked from the artwork to the amazing tile work. Once we were seated, there was only 1 other couple in the restaurant. Our reservations were dinner for 3 at 7 p.m.

Came to this restaurant from Shreveport LA. Super impressed and definitely did not disappoint. Everyone was super friendly and catered to anything we needed. Drinks were extremely amazing. Ice cream was super rich and good. Food was extremely delicious. Steak didn’t need anything extra, juicy and seasoned. Red snapper was seasoned perfectly. Sweet potatoes tasted like pie. The pasta was savory. Extremely amazing experience and will come back frequently!

The Dapper, formally known as Park Place has come very far since it was bought and taken over. I had the opportunity to attend a small event there tonight and was more than pleased with the ambiance, decor, and overall feel of the place. Much work has been put into upgrading the facility! I’m happy it was bought and reopened. It’s a lovely place! On top of this, the food was delicious! I ate a Chicken Fried Chicken, Candied Yams, and Cabbage! Absolutely scrumptious!!! I will be back. On top of this, the service was great and the place was clean. Amazing job!

Went here for dinner this evening, had made a reservation for six. Walked in a few minutes early, was ignored by the staff sitting at bar until I walked up and asked if anyone worked there. We were messily ushered to our table, I asked for a high chair for my infant daughter and the one they brought was dirty and sticky. Fine whatever, we order the dapper dipper to start, was served 2oz of guac, 2 oz of salsa, and 4 oz of queso, and a pathetic 14 chips. We also ordered the fried cauliflower, it came out unseasoned and the ramekin in the middle of the plate was empty. When we ordered our meal, we had ordered Caesar salad with our entrees, our server came back an told us there would be a small fee (totally fine), come to find out later that upcharge was $10.00, when a salad was supposed to come with the entree. My meal came out with sides that I didn’t order, which by the way tasted like it had been sitting in a steam tray for four hours then reconstituted with spicy queso. The children in our party could not eat the Mac and chz due to it’s spicy nature. Our salads came out after the meal, dry with no dressing. The service staff did the best they could to remedy the situation, but this kind of experience required some managerial help. My husband talked to the owner, the owner offered to take off the cauliflower and one of the salads (this was before I found out about the “upcharge”), but was argumentative with me when I told him that wasn’t enough. Save your money and your time, the food is awful and not worth the $200 bill for three entrees and two kids meals. You’ll find better quality food at golden corral, and that’s saying something. Also there was not a changing table in the bathroom, and it was filthy.
