We came for a late lunch and stayed long enough to cancel our dinner at another restaurant. The vongole Siciliano was top notch. The calamari was perfectly breaded, preventing it from being overly oily and too filling. Great Caesar salad with anchovies. Black pasta puttanesca was fantastic. And the cocktails were very well made.

My husband and celebrated our anniversary here with dinner. The environment was intimate and warm. We had the Littlenecks Siciliano and Clam Chowder for appetizers, Baked Scallops and the night’s Halibut with Risotto (not on the menu since it was the night’s special), and Tiramisu for dessert.

Excellent seafood cooked Sicilian style. The owner told me it is brought up fresh from Boston. I had a nice meal and will be back.

I never leave reviews, and I started writing this one before I left the restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious! And the host and owner Maria was amazing. She told us how she sources her fish fresh from the Boston fish market and you can taste it. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, and to find such amazing Italian seafood in the mountains of Vermont is a very pleasant surprise. There’s nothing better then a hot pan of incredible seafood pasta after a cold Vermont day. The daily catch is truly a hidden gem, and if you’re craving authentic Italian pasta, fresh seafood and shellfish, or both! Look no further

Went for an early birthday dinner for my husband and we were a bit disappointed. When we had called to make a reservation the gentleman on the other side simple told us to go to an app and then hung up. Not a great start, but we assumed they must be very busy. When we arrived we were shown some seats. By the online presence we had expected something a bit more high end, especially given the menu prices. There were simple tables inside and didn’t feel particularly nice. The bathroom had not been dusted in a while and there were cobwebs on the light fixtures. Our waiter was overly casual and was quick with us as if he didn’t want to give us his attention despite a pretty empty dining room. I ordered a Negroni and it was mostly ice. My husband asked what was on tap and our waiter simply listed the brands that they had and not the type of beer. When asked to clarify he could not describe or give any further information. The menu does highlight seafood but it is basically a build your own pasta, being asked “White or red sauce” isn’t really the experience I was looking for. Normally I go out because I trust the chef and restaurant to create a menu that highlights their ingredients. Once we ordered it arrived very quickly, we were all surprised. Seeing as what we ordered would have been somewhat involved and had me second guessing what was being cooked now and what was already prepped. They brought my husband and I our meals directly in the beat-up kitchen pans. Not a nice one for plating, or rustic cast iron, which was also too hot to touch and eat out of. Additionally these pans were rounded on the bottom and wouldn’t stop moving all over the table. In the interest of keeping my clothing clean from the chaotic serving dish, I had to ask for a plate. When our server brought it back he said, “well that was easy wasn’t it. My pasta was slightly undercooked, and while the scallops tasted fresh and were not overcooked, there was no sear on them at all. Overall the food was okay but the experience was disappointing and while they clearly trying to source great seafood I would prefer to just purchase and cook myself.

My husband and I spent 2 nights in Woodstock for the first time, and had reservations at the Daily Catch for dinner. Such a welcoming family-owned restaurant, we immediately felt like regulars! Nice slow-paced date night, and all the food was fantastic! Maria and her son are quite the team, and you can tell they are proud of their family’s recipes and creating a dining experience! Highly recommend!

We stumbled into this restaurant on a random first trip to Woodstock, Vermont. I ordered what I was told was a signature dish – their black pasta “Aglio Olio“ — it was overwhelmingly rich and difficult to eat more than 4 or 5 bites. It also lacked visual appeal, looking more like something on its way out, than in. My wife got a halibut special that was strangely sweet. My daughters ordered pasta that came in the pans they were cooked in (I assume) — almost rustic, but the pans were dented super thin aluminum with bent handles that seemed out of place at the table, and the pasta was drenched in butter, so much so, that my daughters took pics and sent to friends. It could have been an off night? But what seemed to be an amazing find at first turned into a disappointing set of dishes with ingredients that seemed thrown together as an experiment rather than finessed over time.

Vermont Hospitality at it’s finest! This place made me fall in love with Woodstock. I walked in to order a Lobster Fra Diavolo to go as I was scared I wouldn’t make it in time before closing. The owner tells me to come back when I can sit down and gives me her cell phone number to call her in case I was running late as this was a big dish that should be enjoyed as a sit down dinner, not takeout. After my meeting, I texted her I was on my way.

Don’t think about it – book a reservation now. This family owned restaurant is phenomenal. We showed up at 9pm after waiting in the lobby of the Woodstock Inn for a table at one of the restaurants. Of course the Woodstock Inn could not accommodate us. We walked in and had a full meal, dessert, wine etc. We were one of the last diners and there was no pressure to leave or to hurry up. Squid Ink pasta was served in the pan hot at the table, made by the mom who’s been serving up pasta at this location for over 40 years. Perfect setting, perfect place – you will not be disappointed.
