Lobster roll was WONDERFUL, best I’ve had at the beach! My husband said one of the best burgers EVER! One of the girls came out and gave toys and some special treats to our little ones with us too. AND they offer military/police/first responder discounts!! We will definitely be back! These guys are awesome!!

Very sad having to leave this awesome family diner behind. My friends son found it and then took us back for lunch and the next day went back and took over the entire bar for breakfast. The food is fresh, hot and awesome, the coffee is real. But the best is the staff! The people that work there are fantastic, from the dishwasher to the owner, you feel like you are friends with them for 20 years, always a smile on their face even with packed restaurant. Next time for alligator bites 🙂 Gonna miss ya all!

Gal behind the counter is always super friendly when I walk in. It’s an unassuming place but CLEAN and endearingly appointed. I’ve gotten a good chunk of the menu over time but my go to when I need a good hot dog is the “all the way.” For about $12 with tax and tip I can get a really good burger or dawg, onion rings, and a beer, which is a hell of a deal nowadays. Oh, and if you like breakfast, it’s nothing fancy, but you have my respect when you do it very well, which they do.

Very popular place. Pancakes were tasty…the best flavor I have found on Beach Drive. Coffee was good. Exterior and interior clean and attractive. Staff was friendly. Loss of one star because pancakes were gummy in the middle making half inedible but will try again. Prices very reasonable.

After a round of golf in Calabash this last Sunday,, my buddy and I were looking for a great mom&pop diner and the kid at the golf course said we have to go to the Dawg House Grill. Funny that he said “they’ll treat you like family and their food is great…” He was exactly correct on both accounts! The staff is friendly and welcoming and more than happy to take a few minutes to find out what you like and recommend something that you might find extraordinary. Well, I had the “Taco Dog” and was blown away! What? Add an all beef frank to taco fixins wrapped up in a grilled flour tortilla? Dang straight! My buddy lives in NMB and will be a frequent visitor now – can’t wait to try the breakfast fare. I’m from Garner, NC and will plan my drives down to be around breakfast or lunch to visit again. Thanks so much for keeping the diner tradition alive (we sat at the corner of the counter – REAL diners have counters) and, don’t worry, did not peak at the computer! The food was ok nothing extra special. The staff were very nice, but it took way too long just to get a burger and a quesadilla that wasn’t even as ordered. They only had one person cooking and two waiting tables so it took over 20mins just to get our order taken and then an additional 45 mins to get our food. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. I will try breakfast next time and see if it’s a better experience.
