Prime rib sandwich tasted “off” and was served on a pasty white-bread roll. The restaurant is small and dark and seriously dated. I love supporting local businesses, but the business needs to spend some money on upkeep & updating.

The food was spectacular. Several of us had the shrimp stuffed scrod special that was so delicious, while others had the beef kabobs, which I was told was excellent. The service was truly fantastic. Our niece called at the last minute, during dinner time, to see if The Desert Inn could accommodate our family of 10, after the family’s reservations at a local restaurant on Portage Street could not be ‘found’ although our nephew and other niece called a week prior to reserve a table for 10 people at 6 pm on a Tuesday. Kudos to The Desert Inn chef and personal as we can always count on their consistent quality of food and service.
