I was in town–I love Philly! Go EAGLES!–and it would be a crime not to visit The Dinner House and Czerw’s Polish Kielbasa nearby.

I’m the most picky eater because I’m a cook. Just had split pea soup with bread. OMG!!! The soup you could taste the love sOoo freaking delicious AND when I opened the foil to the bread I got a surprise! A spread of love what a display. Thinking it’s just bread with a schemer of butter. Thank you so very much for a delicious lunch! ♥️

Was in the mood for pierogis after the St. Nicholas Pierogi Festival sold out so my husband & I decided to try out the Dinner House, and boy howdy! This place is amazing! We got the barley soup (kropnik), borscht, potato pancakes, meat pierogis, mushrooms pierogis, and the strawberry pierogis. A total of 8 plates were brought to the table and initially we didn’t think we could finish them all, but we did it. Not only will we be back, but we’re gonna a tell all our friends too. I highly recommend stopping by if you get a hankering or a craving for traditional Polish food.

As a person of Polish descent with classical culinary training, I have to say that “The Dinner House” is, by far, my favorite Polish restaurant in the city. I’m not exactly sure what the commenters who left poor reviews are alluding to, as the flavor profiles presented at DH are as authentically Polish as one can get. Having personally tried many of the offerings on the menu, I have yet to be disappointed in the quality of food or the sizes of portions given. Contrariwise, I always leave with a full stomach and a warm feeling in my heart.
