I went with some friends 3 days in a row at different times of the day. The staff is very friendly, the place in clean. The outside sitting/ dining area was my favorite, especially because of the music . The food was awesome, I loved everything I ordered. Next time I travel back to NC, I will be revisiting this restaurant

The maduros were perfect & a good portion for $6. The kitchen was very accommodating because I was wondering if they had the mafongo con chincherones – and they hooked it up (I drove there because it was in the pictures on Google but not on the menu; I guess maybe they discontinued it? But they made it anyway; I guess – in a moment of self reflection – it was gall on my part to ask but they rolled with it). Crazy delicious, well seasoned. Hopefully they bring back the mafongo as a staple. The lady at the counter was super sweet! (though my Mexican Spanish ability was out of its depth here )

I have never tried this food before very flavorful but not spicy. Super good and the lady who served us helped us get a range of things to try. The store front looks a little older but inside was clean and I could see some of the kitchen from where you order it was clean and the gentleman in the back preparing the food was very safety cautious. Would definitely recommend.

Wow. Wow. Wow. They let us in right before closing and we had the whole place to ourselves. We got treated like VIP’s. Usually if a place is closing we don’t stick around because the service takes a hit but that was not the case at this point. The food was spectacular. We ordered a little bit of everything and took some home with us.. Will definitely be back here in the future. Included a photo of our receipt . Our cashier spoke English but it’s always fun to practice Spanish. It there are a lot of take out orders and the staff seem to have them flying out of the kitchen. Definitely recommend the Tilapia, the arepa and the beef yaroa with sweet potato….. ***UPDATE*** They are adding an out door pavilion area with gazebo. In about a month, this would be a wonderful place for a romantic date night. I’ve also added a new coffee shop on site. They have a sandwich and coffee special special that is a nice deal for those on their lunch hour.

I ordered pollo frito with tostones. It literally came with 3 pieces of chicken one extra piece of bones. My side salad looked like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for a week with how brown it was. I had to send that back after they brought it out. Lastly the order for 2 with juice came out to 45$. I go over my bank statement a day later and saw they added something where the total came out to $51.81. I disputed that with my bank. Moral of the story food is overpriced and trash ️. If it was good I would not be complaining. So if you do go pay with cash so you don’t get any surprise on your bank statement when you get home.
