Visited the pool as a guest of Gulf State Park cabins. Very nice atmosphere here by the Dragonfly. Great views! Food was good, but pricey – to be expected at beach venues.

We ate and got drinks at the Dragonfly. It’s very accessible for families and children. It’s located poolside at the Lodge at Gulf State Park. One thing to be aware of is it closes at 7pm. So I had to hurry off the beach to get dinner before it closed. The food was excellent and very filling. I think we spent less than going to the resturant adjacent to the hotel. It was very convenient also because you could be in beach/swim wear and not have to change.

The entire place is 5 star. Much nicer than staying at a condo where you have to live just to buy a coke. They have EVERYTHING on site!! Even I’ve cream and coffee! Full walking/biking waves to ALL the GSP facilities, trails and parks! I’ve stayed at many places say the beach and this is my new fav! Outside bar with LIVE music every night. It’s not hot either. Wind blows and keeps you sweat free regardless of the temperature. Thanks Kay Ivey!

We had the dbl smashburger with bacon and fries. The patties are handmade. This is big enough to share, so you have room for a scoop of ice cream!!

@tashaonpaper for ig-Quality sandwiches! About $14-15 a sandwich, you’d think mayyyyybe it would be overpriced-BUT we were delighted to realize it was worth it! The timing was perfect, not too long of a wait on a weekday for lunch. Pictured here, we had a chicken sandwich-EXTREMELY JUICY, with roasted sweet red pepper and pickle, and then the IMPOSSIBLE Vegan Banh Mi (a Vietnamese style sandwich-google it), which i found to be quite possible, only suggestion was that maybe they upgrade/change the daikon/carrot/cucumber slaw (that’s typically on it) to be MORE spicy! ALSO-HOW? HOW does this impossible meat texture feel and taste like juicy melt-away steak? …anyway, both sandwiches came with “just okay” potato chips that appear to be homemade, but i could opt for a better side, maybe they’ll change it up in the future? The customer service was concise, i find that to be great, and not rude at all. Some ppl may want more of a talkative interaction when it comes to ordering food at a place like this, not me. I like when people who take my order are clear, concise, and helpful when asked. Not too friendly or overly chatting. Im on vacation after all, Im not trying to spend a lot of time forming rapport with hotel restaurant workers or staff.

Nice atmosphere and the service is wonderful, but the food selection is limited. If you’re not into spicy food, it would be best to pass on this place. The menu largely consists of various tacos, with the vast majority being past my spice level. Our tacos had to have the spicey cream on the side, and even that was too much for my wife’s liking.

Food is ok, the menu available online is apparently a year out of date and they know it is wrong, but don’t care. So you need to visit to see the menu which is annoying if you want someone to grab you some food.
