Found this spot by coincidence and was excited to try their Dan Dan noodles… I’ve had them previously while in Philly and it’s been hard to find anyone that makes them in GA. so I was ready to order! Sadly, I was not happy…it was nothing like what I’ve tried before. The noodles were like spaghetti and overall it tasted nothing close to what I’ve tasted before. We also had their scallion pancakes and that did not disappoint! It was nice, crisp, and perfectly fried! The customer service was amazing especially being as busy as I they were. The young lady took orders and answered questions with a smile and no hesitation.

This was an interesting dining experience! I should have done my reading and saw that the dumplings were going to be spicy— they certainly had a kick to them! I had to save them for a later time, and they were actually quite good refrigerated. We ordered the pork and chives dumplings, the sweet pork belly dumplings, and the dan dan noodles. The flavor of these was amazing and overwhelming. It took about 10 minutes for us to get our food after ordering, which I was pretty surprised by because there was a long line! I highly recommend trying this place if you can handle your spice.

Some amazing soup dumplings, and I’ve had some in NYC. Highly recommend and would come here again. Loved the scallion pancakes, too. The pan fried chicken dumplings were flavorful and had such a nice crunch. And, by the way, the chili oil is something you want to have by the gallon.

Delicious dumplings! Had the chengdu style and a side of the chili oil. Super flavorful, soft, the chili oil was very tasty but also quite spicy at first!

We were new in town, there for the weekend for a concert, and happened upon Optimist Hall. So glad we did — it’s an amazing food collective with some delicious options. The dumplings were the breakaway star though, and I could have eaten 100 of them. We didn’t plan our stay too well though, and because it was NYE when I went back to The Dumpling Lady to get more dumplings and try some of her noodles, it was already too late and they were closed. But I would have ordered two of everything they had if I could’ve. It is great food to have for leftovers. We don’t go to Chalotte often, but I will be dreaming of those dumplings swimming in delicious chili oil until we go back 🙂

We order the chengdu dumpling and wonton soup. Both were amazingly delicious our first time here to try their food out and did not disappoint. I would highly recommend and would come back for me.

I researched this place before I even visited NC. Well worth it. This place is a GEM! Service is A1! The lady at the register was sooooo nice! Food didn’t take long. Taste very fresh, and flavorful. Would definitely visit again if I’m in town. If you been wanting to go, go! You won’t regret it. The sauce is soooo good!

I ordered the vegan pan fried dumplings and I must say I was expecting way more flavor, it wasn’t really giving at all and I didn’t really have a pleasant experience. For one they gave my order to somebody else by accident and I had to wait, no compensation for my time or anything. The lady taking my order seemed like she didn’t want to be there, I didn’t enjoy the customer service at all and the dumplings weren’t good enough for me to come back here. I won’t be returning.

I had their Pork and Chive Dumplings and the Nei Jiang Beef noodles. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Just the right amount of spice and it was very flavorful. I love their chili oil, really compliments the dumplings. Highly recommend this spot in Optimist Hall.

I found this place on instagram. Im giving 3 stars because the food was just okay. The location is beautiful, the Dan Dan noodles were just so oily and the beef taste weird. My won ton soup was pure oil. The cucumber were okay. Again so much oil but the dumplings were great
