We sat outside and had Bridget wait on us. She was amazing to say the least. She brought everything at the perfect time and checked on us regularly. It was the best service we have ever had on the island. The clam chowder was excellent and the strip steaks were cooked perfectly. The ladies loved their lobster tacos and short ribs. The service was amazing and a special shout out to Finley who served our food to us with a very witty sense of humor. We look forward to returning!

Really incredible spot! Perfectly paired meals and excellent service, all of the staff at the restaurant & hotel were so kind. Everyone at the table loved the dish they picked. Unexpected surprise was how delicious the bread was! On top of all this, the atmosphere was so calm with the ocean breeze and a sea view in the distance. Would definitely recommend for a special dinner!

My family and I really enjoyed our dinner here for my moms 70th birthday. Bridget took excellent care of us all night long. The chef also came out to ensure the food was clear of an allergen my dad had. The food was spectacular! All dishes were above expectations! Cocktails on point!

Like some upscale restaurants, you’re really going for the experience in terms of service and atmosphere rather than the food. Our starters, meals, and drinks were solidly good. It felt odd to not have a dinner salad option with a protein unless you choose an entree, “put the protein on a second course salad”, and pay the price of the entree. That’s complicated, but just feels like an off-putting effort to stick it to the customer by keeping check totals up. It’s giving tacky vibes. Other than that, we loved the location, views, and our server was lovely.

Stunning views, superior service, great food, and a childcare corner with a sitter that watches your kids while you eat.

We went to the Dunes as a birthday party of 3, with high expectations, considering how pricy the food is and how nice the location and the actual restaurant is.

Food was presented well, but overall bland. Location is great – very beautiful. Ordered the special and the waitress forgot to mention the price which was 50% more expensive than the other entrees. Normally the special is maybe 10-20% but would have been great to know before ordering. Restaurant is popular due to location and not from the kitchen. You can tell from your first bite that the food is uninspired and only designed to look good in a photo.

My family and I ate at The Dunes three times during our stay at The Winnetu and both the food and the service were outstanding each time. We had the opportunity to try a few things on the menu and each were amazing. The meals were some of the best I’ve had. Every person we encountered at the restaurant, and throughout the whole resort, were extremely friendly and helpful. Our experience as a whole was perfect.

We came to The Dunes because it was considered one of Edgartown’s “upscale” restaurants. The location is beautiful and the restaurant and staff are really nice. The food on the other hand was not satisfactory. The burgers ordered came out cooked incorrectly to request and the steak was also not cooked right and a few pieces raw. The glasses provided to us were dirty and so were a few pieces of silverware. Our waitress accommodated to all of our issues but overall it was a very underwhelming and disappointing experience overall. The view, location, and staff is what gives this place a 2 star rating.

The highlight meal of last year’s vacation somehow exceeded our expectations tonight. Shayne’s hospitality and service were top-notch. Can’t say enough about this spot.
