Our family loves the Dunes House. Accessible only by those within Palmetto Dunes, or anyone that walks in from the beach, it’s a great casual beach front drink and food option. We go about 10 times a year for the atmosphere, live music, drink and food. Last visit was first since they reopened after a winter renovation that revitalized everything within the same footprint. We had drinks and early dinner. I got the Grilled Bratwurst which is always really tasty, and my daughter got the Walking Taco. The walking taco is a Fritos bag filled with taco stuff! I think this is new to the menu since the reopening, my daughter loved it. Will be back again soon.

What a great beach-side place! I got a table right away and my son and I enjoyed lunch together right off the beach. There were some healthy and unique items on the menu along with a good children’s menu. The shrimp quesadilla was delicious and our server was super fast. The drinks looked delicious too. Next time!

The Dunes House is our favorite family friendly restaurant in Hilton Head. We ate there 4 times during our one week stay. The location is incredible being directly on the beach and the food and service is amazing! The food and service kept us coming back because many of the other places we tried on the island had terrible food and service (especially the places belonging to a large restaurant group). They brought our kids little cups of goldfish when we were seated which is such a nice touch for hungry kids. You must try The Dunes House Burger made with local pimento cheese. The fish tacos are also delicious- some of the best I’ve ever had. We can’t wait to eat there again on our next vacation!

Popular, busy beach bar with limited food and drink options. Just off the beach, if you want a quick burger, hot dog, or sandwich wrap, it’s fine. Most drinks come from a mix but some cocktails may be available if you aren’t picky. Not a foodie venue but good for quick bite or beer after a hot day at the beach. The service was the best thing about the place and our server Michael was fabulous.

This is a great spot for an affordable beach side stop. The drinks are delicious and not outrageously priced. The guacamole is so good we got it twice. Our group enjoyed the fish tacos and the mahi sandwich. A nice (big portion) choice is the quesadilla.

I’ve never had bad food here as some of the reviews read……the food is great no matter what you order. The service at bar is a hit and miss. It seems when they are busy the service is better, when they are slow not so good…go figure. But again the food is Great.

One of our favorite places in HH. We have stayed near this place many times. We never miss it when we are in Hilton Head. It is a very casual, beach restaurant. It is not a gourmet place or fancy at all. Walk up from the beach in your flip-flops. If that’s what you seek, search no further. Great drinks and casual food. Perfect.
