The restaurant was hot. The women at the front kind of had an attitude with us when we asked a simple question about the food. The food was very…..mid. It did come out hot and fresh but, it was not something we would recommend to someone. The chicken was dry and flavorless, the Mac and cheese was good but tasted more like Alfredo. The stuffing had what seemed to be cream of mushroom on it, the yams were good just kind of plan, the cornbread was dense and not that good, the greens were sweeter than the cornbread. The banana pudding was way to thick and tasted funny. The “Kool aid” tasted like just straight sugar water in ice. Would not really recommend this place to anyone.

The food was exactly what I expected, Delicious!! The cook was also the person that brought my food out to the table. She was a very sweet lady. I had pig feet, cabbage/ greens mix, and sweet potatoes. It was the best cabbage/greens I’ve had. Can’t wait to come back.

Came in on a Sunday a little later in the service, so the choices were limited as they had sold out of most of their food..I wanted to try all their food and I was able to order catfish, ribeye, black eyed peas, Mac and cheese, potatoes and beans, and the cabbage and green mix, and got a salmon cake.. the catfish was cooked to order, and all the sides were hot and fresh. Food was great. The owner was very friendly. She checked on me multiple times and made sure I was taken care of. This place is the real deal for a down home Sunday dinner. I will def be back. 5 stars..

Stopped in for first time and was pleasantly suprised! Had the smothered pork chop, greens, blackened peas. It’s was awesome. Folks these people can really cook a good meal, I live in south Texas but any time I can find to come back I certainly will.
