The first date my boyfriend and I went on was to The Elephant! Since then we have made the tradition of treating ourselves every Valentine’s Day and our anniversary every July. Such a rare gem in Western KS! By far one of the BEST places we have ever been to eat! The atmosphere, food, and drinks are all top-notch! We try to change our order every time we visit, and each time we are impressed. The rum punch and tajin pina colada are a must-try!

Everything about The Elephant is perfect, in my opinion! From the atmosphere, to the wait staff, to the food and cocktails.. even the bathrooms are impeccable!! Everything we’ve tried on the menu has been wonderful and well worth every price point depending on our budget for the day or night! Cocktails are stunning and delicious… and very well thought through. You won’t go wrong with just about anything at The Elephant!!

From drinks to dessert the Elephant did not disappoint!! If you want a table, call ahead for reservations. We were lucky enough to get seats at the bar and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. We had Avocado Egg Rolls, Ahi Poke Bowl, BBQ shrimp and grits and a decadent cookie ‘sandwich’ (special not on reg menu). When our travels take us across KS we will be back!!

Definitely the best dining experience of 2020. I promise that you won’t be disappointed with your meal. The hooligans that I dined with were impressed as well. Started planning a return trip before we even left the bistro! I had the barbeque shrimp and white cheddar grits. 10/10, wish I lived closer.

This is truly a diamond on the western Kansas Prairie. A search for outdoor seating discovered this amazing affordable world class restaurant in Hoxie KS. From the risoto to stone ground cheese grits. To main courses. This restaurant knows and produces amazing meals. In a wonderful remodeled building. Great bar and drinks. Very friendly and great staff. I cannot recommend this place enough. What a find. We will he back.
