Had the large catfish plate, they get the good wild caught fish from Lake City Fresh Fish Market. Fish, slaw, and fries were excellent. Only quibble I had was with the hush puppies, they were “chewy” like chewing on a piece of light bread. Never ran into anything like that before. They still tasted fine.

Our friends who live in Madisonville took us here and we are glad they did. It is a southern cooking buffet similar to Country Cupboard but they have catfish on the buffet. The food was good especially the chicken and fried pork chops. I liked it but my wife absolutely loved it so we will be back again.

At first glance, I thought it was going to be another average country restaurant. But once you actually eat there? Wow, the food is incredible. This is some of the best southern style food I’ve ever had. The gator was incredible, the hushpuppies were perfect. The cobbler was pretty unique compared to others and it was very good. Give this place a try, the quality of the food and taste is phenomenal.

You do not have enough stars for the food served!!! 100 stars!!!!! The food was best ever!!! Placed a to go order for supper!!! And now my new favorite restaurant ever!!! Beth was our waitresses and was absolutely the biggest sweetheart EVER!!!! WE WILL BE COMING BACK!!! I will make this trip weekly now!!! Mad props to the owners

The fish was really good, and the patty melt was also very good. The fries were OK. The star of the show was the fried okra. Finally! If you’ve never had real fried okra, not the stuff you get from cracker barrel, then you won’t know what I’m talking about. If you want to know, check this out. This is the real deal. The salad bar and buffet looked decent, although it was sans beef. The tables and chairs were average. The food was worth it

The food was ok though there were few options on the small buffet. The lettuce on the salad bar was browning. The service was subpar. We told the waitress it was our first time there and she couldn’t have cared less. The table, door to the bathroom and the bathroom itself were disgusting. I’m frankly wondering how this place passed inspection.
