We had high expectations for The Farmhouse Restaurant at Serenbe. The atmosphere is nice in an old farm house. (side note- if you are wanting to hear music on the weekends you must sit outside) Service is friendly but I would expect this caliber of restaurants that servers would be more knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered:

So came here as a gift for our daughter’s graduation dinner. We weren’t told when we made reservations back in Sept that it would be a set menu. So once we got there, it was, and there were no substitutes.

The atmosphere is very cute, our waitress was attentive and kind, but the food was bad. To start, my water glass had lipstick from a previous guest, which happens, but not what you’d expect from a restaurant like this. We ordered the poutine as an appetizer which was decent, but not great. My husband ordered halibut, which was cooked well but lacking in flavor and I ordered the scallops which neither my husband or I could eat. For the price, this food is absolutely not worth it. I would potentially recommend this establishment for drinks and a nice atmosphere but the food is terrible and overpriced

Best meal my husband and I have had in a long time. The bluefin tuna appetizer was cooked PERFECTLY, probably the best I’ve ever had. Barely any fat and melted in your mouth.

The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. Hands down. There is something natural in Serenbe that is rarely found in the US. And that is plural down to earth people that believe they can create a sustainable living while still preserving the high quality of life. Highly recommend a visit. Bring your mud boots

The Farmhouse is an extraordinary experience. Beautiful dining room and excellent wait staff. The menu is an outstanding reflection on Southern cuisine. My mushroom bisque was great. Unfortunately, my porkchop was overcooked so they don’t get five stars. (I really should have sent it back.) My friend ordered the same entree and his chop was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend dining here. My overcooked meat will not deter me from returning!

We picked this place for its fame, plus saw the good reviews. The place is in a great location, the view and atmosphere (nature) was what we were after, however, the waiter barely knew the menu, the food did not taste good, the vegetables were not cooked properly or were anything special. The rib-eye was almost un edible, they were nice enough to now charge us for it. They did get our feedback, maybe it’ll get better.

First time to eat at The Farmhouse, we went there for Mother’s Day. The food was very tasty. They gave us a private room for our party which was nice but not requested. The meat portions were a bit small for the men in the group. The dessert servings were very large.

We went here for Mother’s Day. When I booked the reservation, it was not disclosed that there would be a fixed menu with a fixed price of $78 per person (we had a party of 9). The meal was subpar. Half the table order the fried chicken and half the seared grouper. The chicken and fish were both over cooked. The root vegetables were under cooked and about half the plate was beet salad. The dessert was pretty good, but we were there for three hours. I would be very hesitant to try this place for dinner.

Elegance without pretension. Superb service, especially from Bradley the manager and Leah the server. Food was superb, especially the wagyu tenderloin! The live music was also wonderful.
