Good sandwiches for good price. Lots of other food items to choose from. Worth checking out.

Look no further for your new favorite sandwich and fresh baked goods stop. So much greatness packed into this little store. Farmhouse carry’s an abundance of options for your sandwich/panini/wrap. We have gone here multiple times for lunch. Make sure to grab some of their homemade sides, baked goods, desserts, or local sauces!

awesome sandwiches. great baked goods and deli counter. but the real gem is the fresh frozen local beef. we stop on our trips from FL to NY. in each direction. fresh and tasty and very reasonable prices. the sirloin steaks were huge!

I have been wanting to visit here for some time!! The food they post on their fb page always looks sooooo yummy! They did not disappoint!! We got several bakery items and some lunch meat. We didn’t eat lunch there because they only offer a few items and my son is picky and there wasn’t anything he would eat but we did get some stuff to go. I want to go back because the pesto and herb bread were delish!!

I’ve been to the Farmhouse Exchange a couple of times now and I was extremely impressed with the amount of baked goods and other products that they have packed into such a small place, there is so much to look at. This local market just outside of Thurmont along route 15 also has a full deli and their sandwiches are some of the best in the area for sure. They sell locally raised and sourced products like meats and eggs and even have products from South Mountain Creamery. I took my wife and kids and they really enjoyed looking at all of the different items that the store has to offer so if your ever in the area in my opinion its worth it to stop and check them out and as an added bonus they are also right next door to Gateway Candyland as well. Last but not least I thought I would mention that the only reason they got 4 and not 5 stars is that they are kind of expensive partly due to the kinds of products that they do sell being as they say homemade and locally sourced so plan on spending a little extra if you do buy their products.

The best sandwiches in the area by far! Always fresh with lots of toppings, good bread and they are huge! A great selection of baked goods, chips, snacks, drinks and cooler items. This is a gem of a market.

The special was an Italian Panini which was excellent. The meat was abundant and sliced thin the way I like it! Was disappointed with the key lime pie whip is my favorite. It wasn’t tart enough-too sweet. Maybe that’s a personal preference. The woman behind the counter acted annoyed that 1) I didn’tknow you ordered at the other end of the counter and 2) I asked for pie at the last minute. She said,”Okay, but I’ll have to cut a pie for that.”. ‍♀️ I’ll be back and maybe the counter person will make me change my review with their cheery disposition.

Italian Panini special this week was excellent! We visited Friday evening- walked in at 6:30pm and ordered our two sandwiches right away. Two other people were waiting so it was busy, but not absolutely slammed. Two of the employees were incredibly rude- snapping at customers wanting to check out, talking about how 7pm can’t come fast enough, and they even snapped rudely at a customer who asked if she needed to use one piece of paper per sandwich or could she just write them both on one sheet (valid question for a new customer). My two sandwiches were complete at 6:52, I then asked the girl working as cashier if I could buy a ground meat bundle as well and she was very nice, helpful, and was pleasant. She was clearly new as we stop in frequently and I haven’t seen her before. I thanked her and loudly thanked the other two employees for making our sandwiches and they just looked at me, did not say anything back.
