This place was great. The service was so welcoming, like you were at home. I giggled at the woman who made the meatloaf ask a regular why he didn’t eat it all. Giving him a little bit of grief. The food is good homemade comfort food. Like, delicious! This is worth a stop.

This was our 2nd time to eat here. The first time, we had chicken fried steak and BLT sandwich. This time, we had the 1/2 lb burger. One had the fried jalepenos and onions, which was very good. The other burger had bacon. Both burgers were very good. The onion rings were good but a little dark like the oil needed to be changed. The fries were also dark.

I used to eat here at least once per week or more and loved it, but my visits have slowed due to disappointment with every visit in the last 6 months or more. I miss April! She always took really good care of us. Unfortunately, she no longer works here and the service and quality have gone downhill, while prices have gone up. This visit will probably be my last. I paid $23 plus a tip (even though it was takeout, I still always leave a tip) for a 4 piece basket of catfish strips, one extra side, and a piece of pie. No drink. A drink would’ve made this meal close to $30 for one person! I can eat at Texas Roadhouse for the same price or less and this place is not on the same level at all! I was charged $4 for the extra side, and that’s supposed to be the price when ordering only a side. When added to a meal it’s supposed to be $2. When I added a piece of pie, my bill went up $5! It used to only be $3! That just seems like a lot for a little piece of pie. My okra was completely burnt, although there were a few pieces that were clearly from another batch and weren’t burnt. This okra should’ve never made it to anyone’s plate! Also, the portion of okra was smaller than usual. My cup of green beans was tiny. I’m guessing they had no more of the containers they normally put them in. They only give one hush puppy with the 4 piece, even though the menu says hush puppies (plural). This is something they’ve always done but it’s just fried corn meal and I just feel like they could offer AT LEAST two of them. I’ve never been anywhere else that only gives one hush puppy. I asked to make sure they put tartar sauce in the bag because it’s often left out, and they did, but it was only one cup and it was hardly a quarter of the way full. I ran out before finishing my first piece of fish. They did not give me any eating utensils, which happens all the time and I frequently have to go back to get them. Overall, I feel like I paid too much money for smaller portions of subpar, burnt food and lately I leave here disappointed every time.

We just googled brunch in the area of Choctaw, and this little place popped up. Food was awesome, and fairly inexpensive. Only 10$ for a very nice breakfast, and service was very friendly, felt like I had been coming here for years. It will definitely be years for now

This place has the best catfish hands down! Better than Huck’s, Catfish Haven, or Catfish King. Its perfectly breaded and flash flied for the most delicate catfish ever! The huspuppies have a very small amount of pickled jalapeños in them and the coleslaw is slightly sweet without being dry or goopy! I also had their green beans which have diced tomatoes and maybe a pepper juice of some sort with bacon or pork cooked into them. The waitstaff is super friendly and the atmosphere is warm, rustic and inviting. We love this place!

My wife and I came in for dinner around 5:30 and sat at a booth. Most of the booths were open but they were all dirty. Our waitress (Cheyanne?) was quick to clean it up and take our drink orders. We had to ask 2 more times before the drinks were actually delivered. The meals were delivered quickly. My meal (Chicken Fried Chicken, Potatoes and White Gravy and Fried Okra) looked great and tasted great. My wife’s meal (Hamburger Steak, Baked Potato and Salad) were great. We also split a slice of coconut creme pie which was also great. We paid at the front counter and left with full happy bellies. We would definitely come back again.

Food was pretty good, my chicken fried chicken was a little tough but still pretty good! The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because I thought the price was extremely high… my lunch was $20… would be a great price for a dinner with wife or friends but for one person to eat lunch it’s very high for being in Colbert…

From the outside this place do not look very inviting, anyway, because of the reviews we decided to try it. We went for a great surprise. Excellent service, excellent catfish and excellent pies !!!
