Nice experience on a Saturday afternoon. Almost a hole in the wall type of place, but I bet they are really busy at lunch on the weekdays. At first when we were looking we thought it might be closed, glad it wasn’t. Looking at the old signs, vintage and antique items for sale was nice. The Steak was cooked to our liking, the fries are nicely seasoned and the bacon cheeseburger was a good choice. I tried the very basic salad bar add to my mean and I was not disappointed. Everything was nice and fresh. I would recommend this restaurant.

This place is located in a very industrial area, you feel like your GPS is wrong, but, no there’s a restaurant here! I hadn’t eaten here in like 15 years until this past Friday but I’m pretty sure that I’ll be back. I had the double hamburger basket with fries and my wife had a single with onion rings. We both loved the burgers, you could tell that the meat was fresh and it tasted wonderful. The onion rings are a wet batter type, which isn’t my favorite, but my wife enjoyed them.

We went with a large group. Everyone got what they ordered. I ordered a cheeseburger with a side of okra. The burger had a good flavor. The patty was much smaller than the bun.

This was my first time here and I have to say that I was quite pleased with the offerings. There was a very good salad bar with a variety of offerings with an excellent spring mix lettuce. I ordered the 8 ounce chop steak with mushrooms and onions and it was excellent. And my fellow diners ordered hamburgers and they were very pleased as well as a ribeye that was delicious. There was a nostalgic rustic ambiance that was fitting for the restaurant which happened to be tucked away in an industrial part of Bryan. I would say that it was worth the drive to enjoy an excellent meal with family and I’ll look forward to the next visit here.

This place is a cool little place with old timy decor. You order your food at the counter and they call your name as it is ready and.you pick it up. So it’s kind of a self service place. The food was very good and it was prepared rather quick. The cooks know what they are doing. Staff is super friendly.

The chicken fried steak dinner was horrible. It was all breading with no flavor. I’m pretty sure they are precooked frozen patties. The only reason why this review is getting 2 stars is because of the baked potato. That never disappoint. I love their baked potatoes. I like other items on their menu, but I will never waste my money on their chicken fried steak dinner again. Honestly, they should be ashamed of themselves for even having it on their menu, much less charge as much as they do for it. This is my first time doing a review. but I was so very disappointed in my hometown’s staple restaurant.

Steak was amazing! Tender and flavorful. Cooked to the asked temperature. Absolutely melted in my mouth. Sweet potato fries were delicous. Nice-relaxed place to have a great meal. Chef came by the table to make sure we enjoyed our Steaks. I would recommend this place and would come back!!
